Idk the Grammys is the only “ serious” awards show I kinda think they should keep it to stay relevant, but most of the board is probably greedy old white men

If they abolish every thing that makes the Grammys the Grammys it'll became just another generic award show, in 5 years it'll be as irrelevant as the EMAs.

The Blue Ribbon Panel didn't always exist, and was implemented in the 90s. The Oscar get by just fine and have more clout without a messy system like BRP and The Grammys.

Do you even follow Oscar nominations? They are ALWAYS criticized.

I am authistic, so don't be offended if I make a mess sometimes.

Well, yeah, I'm not blind. The Oscars nomination process is far more transparent - everyone knows who their members are and who is on what board, whereas The Grammys won't even release the names of people on their panels. That's what makes them shady & rife for corruption.

As far as I know everyone that won a Grammy is a part of their voting panel. That's as far as I know.

It's 20 people. A small, exclusive group getting the power to take out what the NARAs body actually voted for and alternately put in whoever they want. The article published earlier this year about their ousted president said there is often pressure put on other members of the panel if one member decides they want to promote an artist. When you think about it, the big 4 general categories are kind of set up like the Hollywood Foreign Press aka The Golden Globes, and everyone thinks those are a huge joke because how small a group it is (and they have 80 members).

Yes, they always criticized but they are more transparent about nominations. Whichever/whoever received the most votes, gets nominated. They don't have that Blue Ribbon Committee or secret committee who has the power to alter the possible nominations for the general fields.
