SHALLOW 14,815
It doesn't seem reliable. Katy in the top 5Â
littlepotter 72,847
This list is definitely, definitely inaccurate. First of all, Mac Miller is dead, so I don't understand how he's still charting so high. Second, Katy Perry's tweets barely crack half the numbers that Gaga's do, so there's no way she has more engagement. And most importantly, where's BTS? Their tweets regularly get MILLIONS of likes and retweets, so they should easily be in the list, if not first. chaeri pls

It rather (as mentioned in the OP) takes into account how big the accounts engaging with them is. And how influential their twitter feed is.  Sure, 300k Retweets of BTS announcing a performance is huge.. but it isn’t really influential and world changing? And outside of those 300k people not many truly care. But Trump on the other hand is literally using twitter as a form to speak to the people he represents in a way world leaders haven’t done before, with his tweets basically being used for official statements, and his tweets having implications on the people he represents as president. Trump blocking US citizens was decided by courts to be unconstitutional because that’s how he decides to speak to the American people and he uses it to announce things. You can’t compare that to a PR account for a pop act literally only used to announce new projects. BTS doesn’t even engage with people really on twitter.

But your argument only explains why BTS isn't #1, but absent from the entire list? It just doesn't make sense. And it's not a US-centric list because arab singer Elissa is on there. Plus again there's no way Katy has more engagement than Gaga or any other artist, the only advantage she has is the # of followers. chaeri pls
