Lol the demo does remind me of the kind of music they play in sneaker stores. Not that I hate that kind of music, but I prefer the official I think.

Hmmmmmm I went with official even though I probably prefer more stuff in the demo

the demo has a better vibe to it, but it feels very flat throughout the whole track, it doesn’t really develop

i prefer the “I remember that, that I” in the demo because it feels empty in the final. Same thing for the “I’m not nothing without a steady hand (h)and” on the chorus

i never understood the “electric devotion” line, wtf does that mean? Seems like she needed a three syllable word to fit in before devotion and electric was the first she could think of. I prefer how she repeats “I walk the downtown” throughout the song so that it’s mkre noticeable that she changed it later to “we own the downtown”

the bridge feels underwhelming to me too, it’s cool but I don’t miss it. It’s far from genius, and just makes the demo sound flatter.

TL;DR, the final does a better job at being a triumph where the demo falls flat, although it sounds a bit generic

The demo just flows so well, the album version is far from bad but it bothers me how the instrumental keeps killing the vibe of the song

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I used to prefer the demo more when it leaked but now I like the official one more as it blends more with the album’s overall structure.

This. Why did they change it :emma:

Maybe to pace the album a bit more. Having three bangers, then a mid tempo song, then a slow one is good pacing for the first act.
