Will we have to pay extra to watch it like Mulan?

No if you look on the instagram account of WW84 they posted an ad that says In theaters and HBOMAX with no extra cost.

Exactly. I remember this movie was supposed to come out in 2019

Yeah Nov or Dec of 2019. Something like that.

Cinemas closed in Europe anyway from lockdown, so, nothing.

Well duh. But I mean where are we supposed to stream it when we don't even have HBO max? :oprah:

Ugh thank you God for the existence of VPN

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Like many other major 2020 tentpoles, Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” sequel has gone through a multitude of release date changes in recent months. The movie was originally scheduled for release on December 13, 2019 before being moved up to November 1, 2019. Jenkins’ first “Wonder Woman” film was a box office summer smash in 2017, so Warner Bros. then moved the sequel to June 5, 2020 in hopes of recapturing that summer seasonal magic.

Ok so what are we Europeans gonna do?

I feel that they should premiere the film on the HBO Channels in Latin America and Europe on the same day or at least a week later

This is the type of film you see in theaters, they should've just postponed it til mid 2021 or next Christmas, I don't know. It's not like it's been more than 5 years since the first Wonder Woman movie, fans could've waited. But who am I kidding, I'm still bitter I didn't get to see A Quiet Place 2, Halloween Kills, among many other films I was so excited about, I probably would pay a subscription to see them right now.

Hmmm, well, for now you can actually subs to HBO Max US but it needed elaborate effort if you dn't mind that. Such as getting a VPN, and U.S. prepaid card. :sis:

They cannot afford it anymore, this film have suffered from 6, yes 6, date reschedule. People and investors are tired of it at this point.

REALITY

It's for theatres AND HBO Max, so unless your country is shut down because of the pandemic (something Warner Bros. obviously can't control), this was literally the best they could do, and in theory, it should satisfy everyone.

I like it. I loved the first WW movie and I'll definitely be streaming this one!

This was like the sixth or seventh time they postponed the movie. Fans couldn't have waited. This was supposed to be released over a year ago but they kept delaying it even before the pandemic.

I agree that these types of films should be seen in theatres, but it's time for movie studios to shift and adapt. We are now 8 months into the pandemic in the US and there are record breaking COVID cases each day. This was 100% the right move.

We don't know when things are going to be "back to normal" especially for movie theatres. These types of films require mass audiences. Even with a vaccine and all that, it doesn't matter unless most people at least feel safe to be in movie theatres again. For all we know this could get even worse in 2021, and then what? We'll delay to 2022, and potentially even 2023? These studios are losing money either way. They might as well do something like this and put the movies in theatres and on streaming.

I completely forgot it had been postponed that many times, it makes sense! I guess the faster they release this they can plan a 3rd movie or plan what to do with the DC Universe.
