Didn't they say that covid wrecked their plans and they were reconfiguring them because of it? I am not trashing her or anything i genuinely don't care (even though I did for a while when the album was first released). I just have more pressing things to worry about than any artist's eras really. I'm just confused as to why 1. her team blamed it on covid and 2. her stans always blame it on covid.

I dont think the team ever said anything? Obviously they had plans for a scenario without Covid but after it happened they never mentioned anything about their current promotional strategies or lack thereof.

I remember an interview with someone from her team saying that covid ruined their plans but that they're working hard on adapting them to the pandemic mess i think? It was right after the VMAs or something. I could be wrong idk

Chromatica is an EXCELLENT album. Chromatica is also a horrible era (and yes a lot of it has to do with Gaga's lack of action...not just outside forces like the pandemic and elections).

Well it's an amazing album, but I feel like Gaga would agree that the era hasn't been great. All the cancelled plans I'm sure were really disappointing and stressful on her, and I think that given the choice she would have much rather been performing and sharing the excitement of a new album with us.

But.. I actually think the time off seems like it has been good for her, because she seems happy and healthy right now. So that's something good that came out of it.

I think she could be busy with something else right now, and that's why she hasn't been doing more. Remember the era was supposed to be over at the end of summer so she could have had other commitments already for the fall and winter

It being a great and sentimental album vs the ERA of very limited promo are TWO completely different things.

Nobody is saying the album is bad or even a flop...

The PROMO is what's getting fans upset when she has enough time to talk about BLM, voting, kindness books, makeup, watches, etc....BUT no mention of music or what else is to come with the era. Literally after 911 video dropped back in September that was the last we heard of her. 2 months...NOTHING.

People say not to compare, but when you see the effort artists are making to release videos, do virtual performances, interact with fans, and still keep their eras alive...you can't help but ask why Gaga hasn't been doing that as well. Where's "the show must go on" mentality? Gaga the artistic creator who can whip up an outfit within seconds? Whip out a whole concept performance in a day if need be (BTW Grammy's), etc?

you are right sis. Bobby literally did an interview with a magazine saying the pandemic halted their plans and that he was looking at ways to help adapt the era. Turns out his idea of adapting the era meant doing nothing. Additionally, Gaga herself blamed the pandemic for the postponment of the record and cancelletation of promotion and promised she'd "make it up to us" (not that she has to make it up to us but it's literally on a instagram post she still has on her page).

I really do think Chromatica is an amazing concept, but only an "ok" era.

It would be a "great" era if there was more engagement.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

It is an amazing album but outside of this fanbase, I don't think the GP are even aware that she released an album this year.

Actually I'm happy with what we got so far. I'm hoping for one more music video.

The only thing that I really missed from this era were interviews or just in a way hear her talk about her work. I loved how she normally would explaine her art, her inspirations, how it came together. I mean I love most of the visuals, album artwork, photoshoots and the music video's, but I don't know half of what it's about. It's all just guessing. Did I miss something? Was it in Gaga radio?
