Even though he created a bunch of a master pieces back in the day, he's been hit and miss lately. Even Ally became that Audrey Hepburn diva at the end and with Ridley Scott she's expected to play an Italian, glamourous, rich diva again. If she accepts a Marvel role that puts her into a superhero figure it's likely she has nothing much to play than being a strong female. Don't get me wrong, Gaga is predestined to play strong female characters and I LOVE IT (Emma Frost would be iconic) but I feel like film producers are afraid to trust her with more subtle roles cuz they rather see Gaga than Stefani and fear that Gaga is going to steal the presence if she's not the centre of the movie ... moreso, because they know she has a huge following and fear that her fans rather want to see their fav playing a big role than a small supporting role... However, for example something á la Nicole Barber in Marriage Story played by Scarlett Johansson or Laura Dern's character even - she sensationally played a sassy attourney and had little screentime but she delivered - would be really interesting to experience Gaga playing ... she doesn't need the big blockbuster roles to stay relevant, on the contrary, it would do her well to kinda strip down and completely shake off the "Gaga"-persona when she is on screen. fan-tas-tique, chic, freak, slaaaay Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Gal Gadot one is more lilke a proper historical biopic. The one oferred to Gaga will be directed by Denis V. (Dune, Blade Runner) and its being described as a "sci fi political thriller".
