do we have anybody on GGD that would be interested in a Metal/Rock megarate?  I would be up for hosting such a thing.  I have a few album ideas in mind but feel free to suggest options :)

I'm thinking of some of the classic game changing metal albums, like Metallica black album, Alice in Chains Dirt, Soundgarden BatMotorFinger, NIN downward spiral, etc, Black Sabbath Paranoid, Marilyn Manson, etc.    Like I said though open to suggestions including newer works.  Maybe even stuff like The Pretty Reckless, etc.

Yes pls I’m so tired of the pop girl megarates. It was fun at the begging, but few member makes pop megarates every week. We will slowly megarate the pop megarates, cause they run out of ideas :huntyga:

I would love NIN or Marilyn Manson one but it could be fun to get a reason to listen some classic metal albums for megarate:popcorn:

I'm probably wrong

Great choice.  I love Nightwish also.

Both super choices.  But you gotta go with the album that changed your life, Endless Forms Most Beautiful. And omg it includes "The Greatest Show on Earth" and other classics.

Btw, imo Floor is perhaps the strongest singer on the planet rn.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I was jamming to the Metal essentials playlist on Spotify at the gym today. I love Slayer, Lamb of god, Marylin Manson, Bullet for my Valentine, KoRn, Asking Alexandria, and Slipknot. A deep dive into classic albums and other artists sounds amazing! :rockstar:

Love me some Slayer.   Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth initiated the Thrash metal movement.  I'm still on record as thinking Metallica's first album Kill Em All is still their best, although Black Album is what made them mass famous.  Black Album is still good but loses some  of the essential Thrash Elements that initially defined them.  However Black Album really set the stage for a resurgence of bands like Megadeth and really introduced a counter form of popular metal against the Alternative Metal bands at the time.   The 90's were a great time to be a fan of metal.

I wanna join I’ve never gotten into it but I love listening to new genres this sounds like a fun change of pace. I’m pretty sure we are running out of pop albums. :toofunny:
