Scotland qualify for first major tournament since 1998 (Football)

Scotland have qualified for their first major tournament in 22 years after beating Serbia to secure a place at Euro 2020.

Steve Clarke's side needed to win their play-off final to secure a place at next summer's European Championships.

Ryan Christie's second half strike looked to have sealed the win, but in the final minute of normal time Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic headed home to send the game to extra-time.

Scotland's men have not reached a major finals since the World Cup in 1998.

They beat Serbia on penalties, 5-4 to Scotland. Full time 1-1

I’m Scottish and I was born in 1998, so it’s the first time we’ve qualified since I was born so it’s safe to say my dads pleased

Congratulations! Sadly my country (Romania) got beat by Iceland and we didn't make it. I really miss the time when we use to have a good national team and players like Hagi

It was not good for my anxiety, I'll tell you that    But they got the job done and I'm proud of them
