I personally don't find her music experimental. Like others have mentioned, if she released experimental music in the future fans would likely hate it.

Right, but her discography does feature some experimental touches, without necessarily going the full Björk route. Those are still pop songs first and foremost.

ARTPOP was the most experimental:ohwell:

It did feature a lot of different genres, but I don't think any of the songs are really that experimental in themselves, at the exception of Aura maybe. I feel like BTW was much more envelope-pushing as a whole.

BTW by far, I love how it's a pop/edm record but has so many influences through it

... and now i just sit in silence.

Electric Chapel? Bloody Mary? Americano? :saladga: the overall sound of the album is a mix of EDM music with 80s pop, rock and metal so it's experimental. Experimental doesn't mean "crazy electronic sounds".

NAME A ****ING POP SINGER THAT HAS DONE ANYTHING COMPARABLE TO HIGHWAY UNICORN

I wouldn’t say any of these albums are truly experimental BUT for a pop album, I would say BTW is one of the more out there pop albums. I loved the dark vibes that album gave us.

I agree - and honestly, if Gaga truly did experimental pop - I don’t think many fans would be here for it. I think when they say experimental they actually mean avant-garde music.
