She took her real life experiences to her songwriter friend Victoria Monet who wrote all the lyrics, so yeah I guess. She took the wheel for Positions which is why I loved it. It definitely felt much more authentic and real than her ghostwriter albums.

She doesn’t have ghostwriters they are all credited and they wrote the album together just like Positions.

Lmao I know I just meant it as albums she had nothing to do with besides recording vocals. However a lot of Dangerous Woman songs list her as lead writers when it's not true :air: But it's fine. She redeemed herself with Positions, for me. :vegas:

Calling someone hater if there is no hate is actually hate. Think about it.

I thought about it and still think your comment is just based in you personally disliking the song and thinking that your opinion applies universally when clearly it does not. It is fine to dislike something but at least try and see the reasons why others like it. :huntyga:

I really don't know why this needs to be put into an article. They seem to be statements of the obvious. There are many artists like this. Let's be real, she gets hits because she's young, pretty and makes a current sound. Hits come easily when you're those things, you don't even need good quality music (not that I'm saying she doesn't, just saying it's not a requirement). If she was the opposite of any of those things, she wouldn't be as successful. Those are the main reasons anyone gets hits, there's really not any more extensive formula that's even particularly music related.

Her extraordinary singing ability is the main reason I'm a fan.

For sure. Its such an easy listening. Doesnt make it good quality tho.

Saying that does not make me a hater.

Just a person whose freedom of speech someone’s trying to limit and censor.

Peace out ✌🏼

They can write A to Z about why, but we all know that her label did the most to keep her visible, from the press, to hiring the song writers, producers and more.

I mean, look how many talented aspiring new artists out there who can also write and sing well but never get the light of day since no major label want to invest in them.

Even Gaga, honestly, the best fate that happened to her was getting fired by L.A. Reid, so that she can find a label that actually wanted to invest money on her that is Interscope, (back then also along with KonLive and Cherry Tree Records), other wise Gaga could always have different life and career right now.

Money and power give you a lot of access. The rest is up the audience.

I love her but I always wonder how her streaming is THAT good...

she delivers quality AND quantity. her songs are easily digestible but not too shallow. she knows how to be cool without looking like you‘re following trends and losing her individuality. and also, she was one of the big streaming artists when streaming wasn’t that big of a thing yet.

timing also worked out for her, she released exactly when the streaming wave hit, so she still had sales while also having the streams needed. resulting in (chart) success, which then led to growing streaming numbers because of popularity.

not releasing when downloads slowly replaced physical sales hurt so many artists that were popular in the 2000s. And an even bigger impact can be seen with people who didn’t release when streaming had it‘s huge push. With many people from the 2010s unable to maintain success and build on it.

Are we going to pretend that she’s not a top tier vocalist? :smh:
