Yeah that's common knowledge, but Van Jones is not just a nobody from the internet. If they really want to stage a coup, they won't care much about things being constitutional or not. I'm not saying they will, but you can't really rule out anything this year Before there was love, there was silence

As President, he is almost untouchable... He is treated as a king, people do whatever he tells them, he can fire as many people as he wants just like his reality TV show, he gets the best medical treatment available, he lives in the white house, he has a whole half of the country that literally worships him like a cult, he doesn't have to worry about those taxes he owes (yet), he gets to treat politics like a business, he wants to feel important and have the whole world be about HIM, etc... Just because America is a democracy doesn't mean people haven't tried to abuse their power in office or try to take over completely...we are seeing it before our very eyes why this man and his cult cabinet and followers are extremely dangerous he most certainly won‘t be running in 2024 because he will be in jail

Serious question. I find it extremely hard to grasp (and I find it deeply concerning) how Americans allow its mass media to call the winner BEFORE the government does. So if Trump does indeed end up winning the election, the only delusional people will be those that blindly believed everything their TV box told them. Trump lost. There is no evidence of widespread fraud in any state. Every lawsuit is being tossed out, and his lawyers are admitting that they have no evidence of fraud. The only fraud coming out is on the part of people whom the GOP paid to pretend there was voter fraud. Trump does not have enough electoral votes for him to win in any scenario, even if he were to win Georgia in a recount. Additionally, Trump lost by more than 5 million popular votes. It's not about what the mass media or a "TV box" says; the voters have spoken. You would need a lot of evidence to show fraud so widespread, the vote count is off by 10,000 in three separate states. Because that’s what it would take to change the election results. What is going on in the courts is that there’s a distinct possibility that, when all is said and done, the Supreme Court will toss out PA ballots which arrived after election night. It doesn’t matter: Biden still clearly wins PA, even if those ballots were tossed, so the decision will not affect the final result. The Supreme Court are not Trump’s cronies. They made this clear when they let us know during the arguments that they are going to preserve the ACA (“Obamacare”) in yesterday’s court hearing of California v. Texas. For a case claiming widespread voting fraud to make it to the Supreme Court, it will have to actually advance that far; so far every single case has been laughed out of court, because, with courts, you need actual evidence, not baseless conspiracy theories. What worries me is that Trump may not accept defeat after the courts rule against him, and try to enact a military coup or start a civil war. I’m not even talking about voter fraud here- there is a whole system and procedure in place in our govt in case a candidate does not concede an election.. and it doesn’t prevent the candidate from overturning election results
REALITY 80,163
Some of y'all should take this more seriously. If he doesn't do anything now, he's 100% running again in 2024. And he'll sweep the primaries. More Republicans are loyal to Trump than they are to the Republican Party. Even though we are currently on the right track with electing Biden, this is far from over for Trump. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. caulixtla 2,170
This Van Jones video was made before the election. To summarize the video [1], he claims the president could take it to the courts. He has, and the courts so far have laughed out of court his claims of election fraud, and the courts did not stop the vote before Biden got the lead like Jones claimed they might do. He claims that “Or the loser's party could send a rival slate of electors to the electoral college or to Congress, and say, "We're the real electors," and create a whole situation with that.” but that’s not what Snopes says; that’s not what lawyers who are experts in this matter and have litigated before the Supreme Court say: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/legislatures-override-electors/ https://www.lawfareblog.com/state-legislatures-cant-ignore-popular-vote-appointing-electors Yes, it is unprecedented to not have the president concede, but the news media, even Fox news, have acknowledged Biden’s victory, the courts are demanding evidence which the Trump team has none of, and there is no legal way for the states to retroactively change how they decide which electors vote in December for the president. Right now, the Republican senators are making it clear this will stop with the courts. A number of Republican senators know Biden has won, even if they haven’t made any public statements on the matter. This is how the way things have happened for literal decades though. No president is actually "elected" until the electors actually pick the president in December. The media projects a president-elect after they reach the 270 electoral college votes necessary. While, yes, technically speaking, that does not automatically guarantee that the candidate with 270+ votes wins, it'll be very, very, very, very, very hard and unprecedented for the electors to vote for someone who didn't win the 270+ votes. Biden will be the 46th POTUS. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢.

Ofcourse lawyers will say that a rival slate of electors have no constitutional basis and consequently have no chance of succeeding when brought to court. The problem is that the US is seperated in two blocks of power and if one of them is willingly putting forward it's own facts, then the country has a big problem. See it this way: it's universaly accepted that a red traffic light means 'stop' and a green light means 'go'. But what if 50% of the people suddenly decides that they won't accept this and reverse the two. The consequence is chaos. The question is; who is right? There is no natural law that states red means stop and green means go. It's an imaginative agreement we share and uphold. The US system is as imaginative as our agreement on traffic lights. The system works because people believe in it. But if 50% of the people rejects (part of) the system and says it's rigged, the democracy is in danger. When Trump refuses to concede, he tarmishes the common agreement that systems and scientific facts can be trusted. That's why Trumps behavious is as dangerous as it is. He spent 4 years undermining the credibility of the free media and the democratic institutions. Who's to say he won't undermine the judical power next? If his refusal to pay taxes gives any indication, we are not safe until Biden gets sworn in on january 20th. The Supreme Court just made it very clear they are going to uphold the ACA (“Obamacare”) today; they are no Trump cronies. The worst I see them doing is dismissing PA votes which arrived after November 3rd (and, here, Biden still gets PA by a healthy margin). We are not completely a banana republic, even though we have a president and a secretary of state who think we are. The courts are not going to invalidate 10,000 votes each in three different states (30,000 votes total); that’s that amount of voter suppression Trump would have to do to win this one. The important thing is that this ends once the courts make it clear Biden won fair and square. I hope you're right! I have faith!
