I think LG7 will be HUGE! Maybe even her biggest album so far!

Spoiler

No hate towards Joanne, just wondering how it was years ahead?

Gagaism

Gurl, at this point I just hope she won’t spend the Chromatica budget buying pizzas and better save it for LG7.

CHROMATICA was already intended to be a short era. If it wasn’t for the pandemic, the album would have been released in April and the tour would have ended in August. I would say it would have probably been action packed with many appearances such as Coachella, but not as long as the BTW era.

Gaga had plans to finish/revamp  Enigma, Haus Labs and then focus on acting with her upcoming movie role. I’m sure Ryan Murphy had something for her as well.

This album was great to follow up with ARTPOP. I hope we get at least two more videos, and a full live performance of the album.

That's just a coincidence imo.

I think the beginning of her career wasn't planned, as such... but more moved at an extreme pace that was reflected in instant results that were all inherently connected and from the same place.

TF quickly evolved into TFM, which quickly evolved into BTW (as her fanbase grew) and AP came on the back of all the touring and how fast her life had changed. They weren't pre-planned but kind of happened at the same time, imo.

Joanne and Chromatica are both the results of introspection and downtime. They weren't created in the same headspace as her initial albums, and that's why the first wasn't always expected and why the second took such a long time to become what it is.

LG7 will probably be in the vein of Chromatica if we're honest, but I don't think it's a 'thing' right now. I mean, Chromatica was never planned. From all accounts, it just kind of happened - the album didn't even have a name or concept until the final stages, and when it did, it was Bloodpop leading the way... not Gaga.

Where are the little attorneys to defend Gaga by saying "Gaga doesn't owe you anything" in this thread? Are they finally gone? Is the evil defeated? :laughga:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

I think some fans think that her chanting 'Joanne' right from the beginning of her career (as well as the note in TF album booklet) indicates that it was always a 'plan' to have an era in her name. Personally, I think Gaga believes / believed that all her albums were / are an extension of 'Joanne', since they're how she expresses the creativity she feels she inherited from her aunt. I don't think 'Joanne' was ever a planned album, though.

I don’t believe for a second  that 18 months of promo planning went into chromatica. Maybe it took that long to finish the album but definitely not working out a promo schedule. The album wasn’t even finished until very late 2019 or early 2020 which means they didn’t even know a release date then, let alone 18 months prior. Considering there were no music videos filmed before the era started, no plans for more singles and SL had no concrete promo despite being released before the pandemic, I highly doubt that spent 18 months planning this. Promo plans probably started late 2019 with coachella booking etc.

yes.. that's why it looks sketchy when they planned a big rollout for that long

all of the radio, coachella things can be planned in under 18 months ._. we can't be mad with covid and bobby its just Gaga is really a kind person. tbh she can do better with this era .. and those big promotion like btw era sounds like a bluff to me tbh

The back of my mind is telling me that the Chromatica promo was meant to be huge because she doesn’t wanna go into another pop album for the gheys for a while and was just trying to give us a big explosive era before her little hiatus :fatcat:

I really do think that the era went a bit wrong for Gaga.

The lyrics are so meaningful and deep, but if you combine some of them with overused generic house beats then things can go awry. Nevertheless, I love the album.
