I think LG7 will be HUGE! Maybe even her biggest album so far!

Here’s why:

1. Chromatica was supposed to be HUGE

18 MONTHS of planning was put into this. If it wasn’t for the coronavirus outbreak and all the other nonsense this year we would have gotten an era like Born This Way! I love this album and I am generally satisfied with what we got, but it could have been so much bigger and I think since it doesn’t all work out this era, I think they’re saving a lot of it for the next. Maybe recycle some plans like the Coachella performance and whatever else they planned.

2. Chromatica felt like ‘letting go’ of a burden, in the best way possible of course!

Not only have fans been wanting a dark EDM album since before Joanne, the content of the album I think was about finally letting go of a burden that’s been with her since ARTPOP, which I presume was what started a lot of the lyrical process (Sine From Above was started on during ARTPOP era). I view everything between the end of the artRAVE and the release of Stupid Love as a huge rebranding of her image and proving not only her vocal talent but also her acting talent (which she will further prove with Gucci next year). I think not only in the conventional way of doing dance pop again is she becoming Gaga again, but things like Gagavision coming back, the Ball being put back into her tours (although understandable for Joanne:messga:) and all these type of things. Also the album is kind of about letting go of all her trauma’s and mental issues or as she described it at the VMA’s ‘I wrote this album when I was in a dark time in my head’. So now that she let go of all of it through the album and Gaga is back I think we’re back on track like before ARTPOP.

3. We, or I at least, absolutely don’t know what to expect this time around!

Chromatica is my favorite album and I love it and think it’s genius; that said, it’s not very innovative. We were pretty much guaranteed a return to dance music since Joanne and judging by her whole attitude and acceptance speeches the last few years I’m pretty sure we all saw songs about mental health and its importance coming. That isn’t a bad thing. She delivered a great album her fans are waiting for and made it have an important message. Now that she’s done that, knowing Gaga’s versatility I have no clue what she’s going to do next. Other than another possible Cheek To Cheek sequel or maybe, just maybe a Gucci movie soundtrack I have no idea what she’s going to do next? Rock? Disco? R&B? Or more EDM? Heck maybe something completely new! Also, what will the album be about? A theme? It’s all a mystery to us so far.

4. Everyone had a LOT of time at home this year. Gaga makes music all the time, and she has a studio in her house ...

Not saying I expect it anytime soon. Gucci movie, more Haus Labs, the Chromatica era isn’t really over and I’m sure she has more projects coming up and maybe even starts a family? SHE CAN TAKE HER TIME. I’m just hopeful, knowing Gaga, and recently admitting she loves making music and does it all the time, she may have just taken a start. Whether that’s just a song title or a list of songs, maybe she’s started in any way.

5. By the time coronavirus is over, there will be more opportunities and things will be CRAZY, it seems like the perfect time for a new album

Kinda self-explanatory, but just IMAGINE. It’d add up nicely.

LG7 and LG8 are a GIVEN! Some people might come say that Gaga is ‘over music’ and there won’t be an LG7 but that’s nons- GOSSIP. Gaga signed a contract for 8 albums (and I’m sure she’ll extend but that’s another discussion) by a label. These albums are a given.

Thanks for reading! I’m curious for your thoughts! :kara:

We’ll get a cute one week top 20 lead single and we will be happy.

I want LG7 to avenge Chromatica and more. A killer lead single with a great music video, and at least 2 singles before the album is released, with the 2nd single being released along with the album, so both the song and album can debut at #1 at the same time.

What I’m also hoping for, is better shop support, and better quality items, including better signatures if she decides to do that again. But yes, I can see LG7 being as big as Born This Way. (If she wants it to be)

If the Gucci movie is a hit, the hype will carry on to the next album (if it's a good one, that is). But I don't expect a studio album till the Gucci movie is released and promoted.

But I don't expect an era as big as TF/M and BTW

I like dancin', and ponies....

We can’t blame covid for everything. The era went wrong thanks to Gaga/Interscope. There are plenty of other artist who smashed in 2020. They messed up another era, Gaga should leave Interscope ASAP. :trollga:

I'm pretty it was Gaga who decided to give up on the album, not Interscope

I don’t believe for a second  that 18 months of promo planning went into chromatica. Maybe it took that long to finish the album but definitely not working out a promo schedule. The album wasn’t even finished until very late 2019 or early 2020 which means they didn’t even know a release date then, let alone 18 months prior. Considering there were no music videos filmed before the era started, no plans for more singles and SL had no concrete promo despite being released before the pandemic, I highly doubt that spent 18 months planning this. Promo plans probably started late 2019 with coachella booking etc.

I think gaga is the one choosing not to do promo. Hosting a listening party, insta lives, twitter q and a, and filming mvs can all be done by gaga

My instinct is that she hasn't thought about LG7 yet.

That said, she started work on Chromatica almost immediately after Joanne...  so who knows.

I suppose we have the benefit of no soundtrack in between this time round, which will probably speed up the process - but I don't see her itching to get started on a new album and concept already. I don't think she's like that anymore. I don't think she has the 'urgency' to make (studio) music these days.

It sounds like Chromatica wasn't a labour of love... more just a labour.

It delivered a great result (one of her best) - but why rush to another labour if you don't have to?

That's my take on it, anyway.

I'm sure Interscope give up on the album first, but Gaga agreed with them.  Do u remember when Gaga fought for Alejandro? :trollga:
