Not only is it her best selling greatest hits album, but it is also the best selling work of her entire career at ~30,000,000 copies. It spawned the controversial number one hit "Justify My Love", which not only inspired her controversial album Erotica, but also was tested as a DVD single; this was a first in the music industry. It also spawned one of the first ever "by demand" single releases, which was for the song "Rescue Me". The album also experimented with the use of the QSound audio technology.
