Either you let this virus that has no antibodies, which the ones we have now already has no immunity, and then it would mean well that there's no vaccine ever, that's ever going to happen or it could take 10 years or never, so it means we will live like this for decades if not forever. Or you kill poor creatures. Very difficult decision, ultimately we are selfish people, I agree why keep them captured in the first place? But are we ever going to resolve this corona issue if it keeps mutating? To me looks like this was a weapon in the first place, striked by who thats the question. We can find it to be a sad thing, but in the end this has to happen. If the virus mutates further into that new strain, other species can also be at risk: the virus currently already affects, humans, minks, cats and other felidae. It won't be long until it could affect dogs, cows, etc. It's probably a better choice to terminate these creatures to save a lot more species. If a worse pathogen evolves, it can cull entire populations, and we don't even know if it immuno comprimises. There have been studies that the disease has long term impliciations for health (damaged organs, mental health issues) and this virus doesn't discriminate age groups persé, a different strain could target younger people in a second or third wave, similarly to the flu strain back in 1918 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
