I agree.

Personally, I think it shows that the left need to be less sneering and sweeping about those who vote Trump.

The fact is, even in an election with such a huge turnout, Trump 'supporters' are still representing almost 50% of the nation - and that should tell people that Trump voters cannot possibly be one thing.

They are many things from all over the country with all kinds of different beliefs and views. They are not what the media presents them to be.

What unites them, I suspect, however, is a belief that the 'system' doesn't speak for them and is working against them in some way. Trump is, of course, not the antidote to that - but his presentation and messaging markets him as exactly that.

He is the billionaire elite wearing the mask of an 'anti-establishment' hero.

The left need to realise, though, that populism and patriotism (what underpins Trump's campaign) is what wins elections nowadays... or at least, is what is needed to win over a clear majority.

They also need to stop being so judgemental of those that disagree with them.

If it wants to win over more than 50% of the country, it needs to respect more than 50% of the country.

But what happens when common sense is seen as sneering?

After all is said and done, all this margin may prove is that disinformation works.

according to google I think their gap is smaller. a 0.3% difference with Trumo ahead. I believe it was at 0.4% before

Wasn't there a state that was supposed to announce their winner 15 minutes ago? :poot:

The Clown

So, I imagined this nightmare scenario. Can someone with experience please tell me how likely this is?

If Trump wins GA and PA is either won by Trump or won by Biden at a very small margin:

- can we expect Trump to try and request a recount in WI and/or PA, with heavy GOP supervision, in order to cancel as many votes based on technicalities?

Georgia and Nevada. Nothing from Georgia and Nevada only provided a small dump (most results were expected but that didnt happen), but it increased Biden's lead and spells trouble for Trump.

He can try a recount in WI, but with an over 20k vote lead it's going to be impossible, recounts usually favor the winner and only change about ~300 votes, a recount will not give Trump WI. Right now Biden and Trump are head to head, remaining votes are in Atlanta counties which are heavily dem and favor Biden. As for PA, Biden is expected to win with a 100k+ margin, a recount wouldn't change anything.

A recount is supposed to be neutral, it cannot be "under heavy GOP supervision" whatever that means, an if it is, you can trust the Dems will also be there to make sure all is fair. If Biden loses PA and GA, he'll still win with 270 and even if they make a recount, there's a slim chance such a result can be overturned.
