Plus they just barely got MI and WI back, and maybe PA. But I'd say it's mostly bad news for them as they lost ground among POC and Trump improved his standing in many places no one was expecting such as on the border of Mexico in Texas where it's 95% Hispanic. That's not good news any way you slice it for Democrats, especially as they continue to bleed support with white people. Agree on the demos. That is a big failure on the left. They don’t understand what POCs want or need, but white politicians think they do, and refuse to see otherwise. But Biden beating Trump calms down the woke left mob which has made the Democratic Party bleed white working class voters. There is a lot that need to be done and can all be bad, but we can’t fix it with four more years of Trump so I’m optimistic, in a first hurdle crossed type of way. In parts of the country things like marijuana legalization were strongly popular and passed, and given Bernie Sanders really pushed this, coupled with his economic populism that has been proven after 2016, 2018, and now 2020 works, I strongly believe Bernie would have been in a stronger position than Biden by putting forth a strong, positive agenda as he was. If you really think about it, neither Trump nor Biden had that. Had one of them had a strong, positive, economic populist agenda that actually gave Americans a vision for the future, they would have likely won in a landslide. But neither did, and it was razor thin. Bernie did have this, and progressive economic policies are incredibly popular around the country passing even in red states and Florida where they passed the increase in minimum wage. If Democrats would just lean into this, they could actually have a decent shot of winning people over.
