It can go either way.

So it's not a literal coin flip, right? Because I honestly don't know, it could be anything with the US electoral system :bear:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

PEOPLE, can someone please tell me what Biden needs to win? If he takes WI and NV, he still needs PA or GA right? That’s his only hope?

No,  he needs MI or NC but they seem unlikely right now.

I believe she was under 50%

From what I'm reading, she never reached 50%.

Hill won 48% and Trump won 46% of the pop vote...rest was 3rd party. Biden would be the first to break the 50% mark of the pop vote but lose the electoral college IF he loses the electoral college

Thanks everyone! Sorry, I don't live in a country that actually counts votes 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't understand this but i am already worried

Basically Joe has over half of the US approval ATM but it's up to the electoral college to elect him or to not elect him.

They have no legal path to throw votes out there afaik, so it won't be up to them

But at the center of the (potential) legal issue is that Pennsylvania made two sloppy decisions: (1) By not requiring the signatures on the ballots to match the canvassed data on voter signatures and (2) allowing mail in ballots to be given the benefit of the doubt if arrived after the election date and the postmark date is unclear.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/23/pennsylvania-court-ballot-signatures-431794

So we can't disregard the fact the Supreme Court could overturn the state decision if they are sued. Well, I suppose you could disregard that scenario but the reality is that there will be a legal battle, and it will be up to them to say whether or not those votes should be counted. This is not a matter of what you or I or we think, it would be decided by a conservative majority supeme court.

Up 11,000 in Wisconsin

Keep in mind that we haven’t counted Green Bay’s early votes either.

Point being, it’s 2am on the west coast but the red mirage is finally fading.

Chromatican

Biden being the first president since the late 1800s to lose the electoral votes but get 50% or more would be such a kick in the head.
