But that isn't a uniquely Republican / Trump voter problem.

Many on the left also lack common sense, and will call for things that aren't logical.

The point is that, in my opinion, at least, 'the left' (and I don't like to generalise) need to understand that the majority of topics are nuanced and cannot be distilled to one 'wrong' or one 'right' view.

I suppose the crux of my argument is that we need to take the sting out of debate.

It surely cannot be right - or at all democratic - that debate is so heated and so divided right now. How are we to ever resolve pressing issues if opinion is constantly either 'black' or 'white'?

I believe strongly in listening to the views of those I disagree with and challenging myself to find some sense in what they're saying - so long as they aren't being intentionally hateful or evil.

I think people would be surprised by how much they have in common with their 'opposites', and I think that's something left politics needs to communicate far more convincingly - and not just when it's time to go to the polls.

Okay, I stan.

This is gold. A reporter confronts Trump campaign official asking "Where is the evidence of fraud?"

And the person. In the background yelling Fox News sucks was fantastic. :ladyhaha:

That's how they are supposed to be used. I didn't report a tragedy.

You can also use it to disagree with someone though. I use it both ways, and you can tell which way by the context.

Well, maybe the fact we’re only getting updates every 10-12 hours will get you to be able to get some sleep. I got a little sleep after the red mirage was clearly fading in MI (night after election). I got some more sleep after the AZ Maricopa drop came through fairly late last night, since I knew nothing else was coming for a while. Right now, we’re waiting on GA giving us some info (due now, so within 2 hours) then the next AZ drop is in 8-10 hours, so you can get some sleep right after we get the GA update. Do it, please, being up isn’t going to make PA’s red mirage dissipate any more quickly.

Thanks  I already slept twice since election night and I'm well rested

Oh no. I, for example, only reacted with Sad to a single comment of yours.
