It ****ing better. I didn’t expect Michigan and Pennsylvania to be so red.

MI/PA are a red mirage right now, Biden will catch up once we count mail-in ballots.

Probably by enough to win.

I still wish FL went blue. I would be asleep now if it did.

Trump has won - no doubt.

He'll end up with 280 points imo.

Biden was always going to lose the states he lost and was never getting Florida or Texas.

The polls aren’t in the toilet.

What is happening is everything we knew would happen. Election night would look to be in Trump’s favor until they counted the votes.

You are just be pessimistic- again because no one can let go of 2016.

really cause i do not recall poll averages predicting that it would be this neck and neck. all the ones i saw put biden ahead of trump by ridiculously laughable margins when you look at it in retrospect.

i do admit i'm pessimistic though. cause the country showed what it was in 2016 and it's doing it again :selena: even if biden squeaks out a win, the fact that it was so utterly close after everything is... i have no words.

Yes! M4A needs to be supported by every Democratic presidential nominee from here on out. It is non-negotiable.

We desperately need things to latch onto as policy points that we can hammer away at. I'm not saying that Trump & the wall were a good idea, but using it as a cornerstone made it impossible for anyone to not know what he intended to do on that issue. We need M4A or whatever they want to call it by then, to be that item.

I think it's clear that democrats have to start pushing for a more populist & less moderate message in 2022 and 2024. Biden and the moderate message did not resonate nearly enough in the age of Trump, and we have to do more. Now, that's not necessarily a march to the left like Bernie, but if Kamala runs in 2024 she should go full Obama-change messaging with M4A.

Agree that they need Obama type energy. Not sure M4A is the hill to die on.

I would start with ending the War on Drugs. That brings on your independents and libertarians along with populism.

could be. but i have a sinking feeling that this is about the left just being generally disliked by a lot of people. like the poll for medicare for all is really high, and yet all. of. these. people. voted for a candidate who has no healthcare plan at all lol

Well when two candidates are horrible at health care, people will stick to their own party considering they have the same values and other issues they care about.

Another issue is Democrats like Bernie should stop identifying and talking about Socialism. Republicans want health care but if you ask them if they agree with Bernie they will say no.

Healthcare seems to be a big issue for dems and independents, so anything in that column
