First of all, to my knowledge, nothing has been confirmed about these terrorists and their religion, culture, political views, etc. So firstly, let's not paint this as something done by Muslim extremists when we have no idea who exactly these people were. Second, it is xenophobic to say that an entire group of people is one particular thing. Because that's just plainly not true. When we talk about Muslim extremists people tend to emphasize the word "Muslim" and not the word "extremist." There are terrible people of any religion, any culture, of any political points of view, etc. It is xenophobic to pin this on Muslims in general when this sort fo sh*t doesn't happen to any other religion or culture. Like I said in the beginning, domestic terrorism is also a thing...Take the United States for example. Right now I'd argue that the most dangerous people right now are the hardcore Trump extremists, and many of those people were born and raised here in the US.
