Xoxo Adriana 15,040 Posted November 2, 2020 Share Posted November 2, 2020 absolutely awful. cant wrap my head around this at all. whilst i don’t agree with some of their beliefs towards the LGBTQ community, nobody and i repeat, NOBODY deserves their safe space destroyed. i’m actually very glad this twitter user used the word “terrorist”, because this word seems to be targeted towards certain groups (races and religions to be exact) and it’s about time we normalise the word towards anyone causing terror, INCLUDING leaving white people accountable also (its probably bad that i’m assuming this man here is white, being that majority of islamaphobes tend to be white ironically) if anyone disagrees with someone because of their religious preference, leave them alone and mind your own business? why do they make it seem that difficult to keep to themselves Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

But Macron got himself too involved in the situation that created all this mess. He should have released a statement against terrorism and in support of free speech, and let the law deal with the situation. But creating an official government event to mock Islam is not responsible. Imagine if Obama decided to mock Islam in an official event by the state? But I did not say its one or two cases, its obviously more than that. But to say Muslims celebrate terrorism is false. I can get you a group of anything celebrating horrible things. The Death to America being said in Iran is not based on religion, its based on America comitting terrorist acts on them. I do not easily accuse people of islamophobia, I actually defended many people here who criticize islam in a none islamophobic way and took their side over Muslims. I want you guys to criticize us and we to reform our religion, but I dont want you guys to use false information and stereotypes against us. That will not reform anything.. We all know who is fueling the fire, and it isn't Macron. The only ones who are to blame are those who can't stand free speech and satire, and feel that beheading innocent people is a justified punishment for drawing Muhammed. People should keep on drawing Muhammed and showing the drawings, until the day when no one is ever attacked for doing so again. I know that certain politicians from where I'm from, are already planning on publishing the drawings in different newspapers. I fully support that.
