You quoted me actually, the part where I was talking about ppl generalizing muslims. You decided to post 2 clips of some “muslims” being problematic and said that it’s “hard not to believe” some of the things people say. Anyways, pack it up because I won’t be arguing with an Islamaphobe.

As I said before, this whole situation is the fuel the right-wing needs to terrify people and get into power. Whenever there's a wave of progression, a wave of conservatism comes right after. This is happening all over the world, people who used to be neutral or stay in the center of the political spectrum are endorsing the right in fear of losing their jobs, houses mas even lives to a globalized government model

These cases get little attention, just like last weeks’ stabbings of two veiled women (19 and 40 y.o.) at Eiffel tower in front of their children. Some even justify it as argument over a dog, but they were yelled at  “Dirty Arabs / this isn’t your home! ”, it was obviously a hate crime. And it was meant to terrorize a minority. It never got a thread here.

We will never ask all white Europeans or all French to condemn this act, because it’s assumed that all normal people do. But that same assumption is not reserved for Muslims.

We are expected to apologize for every terror attack done by someone with muslim name or someone yelling Allahu Akbar (even if it turns out to be far-right white nationalist). We are expected to “tackle the problem” even though it’s much more complicated than that and we might as well be next victims. 

Non-muslims are trying to define for us what islamophobia is and isn’t. Non muslims are telling us we are not “real” muslims because we don’t live in “muslim lands” and those who do “know Islam better”. It’s a global religion, not a race, so what are we talking about..? This is like saying random Muslim knows about Christianity more than a devout and learned European Christian only because he’s living in a Christian-majority countries. It doesn’t really make sense does it? The way people believe and practice varies in so many ways. Majority of muslim population is not even in the Middle East. Only about 20% of Muslims live in the Arab world. Bet some of these “experts” didn’t even know that. It even sounds racist tbh, like only the “dark non European people belong to that distant religion”, even though it’s been in Europe for centuries. Please people, learn some history.
