The change builds some hype again til the end of the song. Obviously, a song doesn't necessarily HAVE to go somewhere to be good (ARTPOP, the song) and I do think Perfect Illusion is a good song, but not for the key change OT: Time flies... Pop Music 20,540 Posted October 21, 2020 Share Posted October 21, 2020 Ahh Joanne, Such a special era to me I have been a gaga fan since 2010 and a full out stan since 2011 and this was my first era to go "full on monster mode" I was at lunch at school when PI got announced I a screamed audibly and got laughed at a lil bit but couldn't care bc the drought was over and I had missed her so much I was there for every interview, every song release, every live performance, every tweet and was on GGD for the first time to experience it with you all The day the album came out I went to Target right after school (just as I did 3 years earlier with ARTPOP) and just stood in awe with the album in my hands, Like it was all real and we had new music and a new era I listened to the album non stop even though it was a very different gaga I was hooked something also exciting from the Joanne era for me was going to the tour which was my first gaga show (I kinda was naive when buying tickets on stubhub and paid a steep price for the back 100's section with a semi obstructed view for wayyyy too much money than what ticket master was selling them for bc I was young and scared not knowing about waiting to buy tickets later after scalpers drop the price) about 15 days after my concert I broke my ankle and had to get surgery and I listened to Joanne non stop to calm me down and after gaga went live on IG for her meditation after the tragedy of the Las Vegas shooting I told her on twitter how much the stream calmed me down and how much Joanne and the thought of her was helping me and that I would be thinking about her during the surgery and she liked and followed me on Twitter and no lie I sobbed for 4 hours out of pure happiness, It was exactly the joyous thing that I needed before this scary time in my life overall this has been wayy too long but I love Joanne and the Joanne era sm and Gaga sm Pop Music and Lady Gaga forever!
