Reality 74,017 Posted October 15, 2020 Share Posted October 15, 2020 I've noticed pattern with many Gaga fans that usually the pop songs with the most "intense" or demanding vocals tend to be the ones fans hate the most. For example, Love Me Right, Fun Tonight, 1000 Doves, Plastic Doll, Hair, Before I Cry, Dope, etc. all fall into that category. It seems like the only song that fans actually like that's from that category is Gypsy. While I don't think LMR is the best song on Chromatica, it's definitely up there. This is why these songs end up being kind of orphaned in her discography because, unfortunately, they don't match the vibe of the album. This song, as nice as it is, has a VERY dated sound. It would be at home over the end credits of any 80s-90s rom-com/dramedy but had no fit in the albums story....except for the emotionally charged lyrics and vocals.
