It's pretty but no better than a lot of her unreleased songs. Not really what I was hoping for from the first release since the huge step up that was NFR.

I like it!! I’m so glad this song isn’t super long in duration like some of her other songs that seem to drag on forever.

Born This Way

I don't care if people say it just sounds like NFR (I'm people saying that it sounds like NFR), I like it a lot. The guitars are really nice. I'm just hoping for a bit more variety.

Run run with her top down baby she flies

I'm a huge Lana fan.

This song is just ok. Nothing special, but I guess that's what happens when you release a new album every year. I wish she would take more time to be inspired sonically ans musically.

I hope I like it, I really do. She's fast becoming one of those artists where you like their music but can't get past the artists behind it and I struggle to separate the two tbf. I can get behind her being a fantasist and being a bit shut off from real life because I like the surreal quality her music usually has but when it starts becoming wilful ignorance and arrogance it feels a bit grating

EDIT: I am really sorry. I realise there can't be a thread at the minute without someone commenting on how she's been recently. I am a big fan, I promise, this is just the first real time I've started to feel pretty iffy about an artist I really like so my anticipation for this feels weird

Why exactly do you feel the need to separate her from her music? She’s not homophobic, she’s not racist, she’s not transphobic, she’s not a republican, & she’s not a rapist so what exactly is so troubling or disturbing about her that you just can’t bring yourself to listen to her music? & btw art cannot be separated from the artist. It just can’t & anyone who says that it can be done is lying to themselves & supporting whatever harmful behavior the artist is committing. It’s a cheap justification people throw around for supporting sh*tty celebs. R. Kelly doesn’t stop being a rapist when he walks into a recording booth. Azealia Banks doesn’t stop being homophobic, transphobic, racist & all the other things she is when she gets on stage to perform. The art is the person so either support Lana or don’t but I’m really interested to see why you even have this dilemma.

Very disappointed. Love Lana but as a lead single this was underwhelming. It sounds like a boring filler. Nothing special. I remember the day Ride came out and I was instantly in love.  Maybe it’s a grower though? Not sure yet.

It’s def a grower

Ok I love Lana but can't wait to see GGD act like this is some groundbreaking mood-alleviating soul-quenching ass-penetrating song of the year :billie:

It’s not the lead. It’s a promo single similar to Mariners Apartment Complex.
