Esteban 2,300
I think we are so used to see disposable entertainers who last few years that we think a 4yo band is an old one... It is not @pillos @Linus Gaga @dnzr Maybe BP is worth to have its own documentary but just to say it's still a recent band

I think in this case and Billie Eilish's there's a few unique and compelling things outside of their art specifically. In BP's case, it's how they blasted into the music scene being a Korean act (that process could be interesting). I would say TMB doc has similar elements to it in that sense. Eilish's. Well, she is kind of the first very distinctly gen z artist to explode so, again, there's something interesting there especially since she's been in the industry a few years on a more indie level and then BOOM. Of course, all of this is secondary to these docs being marketing tools first and foremost, but I think there is potential for some at least mildly interesting content even if I myself won't be watching. I dont trust documentaries like this because its done by the record label to push their agenda. I think artists early in their career are not capable of being honest about what is happening because they are still part of the machine and benefit from it. BP wont be able to talk about their record label overworking them and giving them bad contracts. They cant talk about their personal struggles and love life unless the record company approves it and its marketable. I think once an artist have control over their career and are established, and went through alot of experience, a documentary can be good.

So whenever she decided to release a doc nobody would call it premature! Although I'm glad that she waited for years to pass and released the Five Foot Two in the right time

andy232000 11,367
Isnt this just a documentary of the making of the album? Thats not even in the same thematic realm as making a documentary about your career.

Gaga didn’t get big til Joanne (what made her a household name) that’s why she released five foot when she did BYE
