But I would say it’s the best music video since John Wayne, and then was surpassed by ROM. Doesn’t mean it’s bad. Just that Chromatica’s video got better and better. I think we needed a video that was a love letter to the city in a very simple, classic, bold way (since MTN did it in a way that wasn't as much about NYC as it was about Gaga's story). It still felt Gaga, but VERY BTW as well, and her close-ups in it are among her best. It's the song that makes the most sense to make a New York music video about since it's the big pop stadium ballad (along with You and I) of the album.
