The Wanted singer Tom Parker reveals he has inoperable brain tumor

Tom Parker, a British singer who spent five years as part of the popular boy band The Wanted, has revealed he has an inoperable brain tumor.

Parker, wrote on Instagram: "We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. 

"We don't want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options."

The average survival time is between a year and 18 months.

One of my biggest fears is ever developing any type of fatal cancer/disease in general. I can only imagine what his friends, family, and fans are feeling atm. Sending him and them nothing but positive vibes.

Getting cancer is one of the biggest fears of my life. Sometimes I try consciously to mentally prepare myself for the possibility that my body is gonna fail me some day and announce that I'll be dead in a year or a few months. But I will never be ready for that, I think.

I cannot imagine how terrifying it is for him to just live with the fact that he will die in less than 2 years. I hope he finds peace and happiness.

i hope to god cancer of every kind is cured in my lifetime. i would be moved to tears should that happen, and i swear to god, the scientists who make that breakthrough, will be the biggest heroes (outside of my grandma) of my life.

For real. I think my fear of cancer is the reason why I developed such bad health anxiety.

But this is really ****ing ****  And the fact his wife is pregnant makes it even more heartbreaking.

My mom had this same sort of tumor a few years ago and I'll tell you from experience that it's absolutely horrific.  My heart goes out to his family, especially for how young he is
