I think she should’ve just replaced it with Brooklyn Nights or any of the other unused tracks.

Well R. Kelly's part had to go, that's for sure, but no, they should've replaced it with the solo version or the one with Xtina. It's still a good song.

The message behind the song and the controversy around it was too much...

She needed to distance herself from the R. Kelly situation being a vocal advocate for mental health and speaking out against sexual abuse which the song...contradicts in tone. 

A solo version wouldn't have changed the lyrics either so it was best to just move on all together...ARTPOP was messy but I always had weird feelings towards it.

News flash, you’re sounding invalid and dumb. The Xtina version still has Kelly as writing credits. I said Wikipedia because all it takes is a google search to get your answer.

The only reason the Xtina version is up is probably because it’ll be messed up to screw up with Xtinas royalties and it would be unfair to punish her.

I believe all the remixes are still up as well because the DJs still put in the work and should get paid.

You should learn to not be so aggressive and attack users on this board.

DWUW is probably one of Gaga's most personal songs. This song is pure rage about the media and how they only see her for her body and not the art she makes. DWUW defined a lot about ARTPOP for me and was defiantly in my top 3 fav songs on the album. However, she said countless times that ARTPOP was a very rebels album and how it doesn't reflect her views today and back then there was a lot of pain and anger going on. Even if she could release the solo or Xtina version, I still think she wouldn't do it because it doesn't reflect herself anymore. Besides, now that DWUW is gone from the album, Venus can finally become the true 2nd single that was promised a long time ago.

I just made playlist with every song in order and added the Xtina version to fill in the gap. it’s not the same but its close.

It’s pretty clear why it was removed. Even if replaced with another version he’d still get royalties from it (as we saw on the docs that leaked a couple of months back), so she decided to simply cut it off, which is a shame, the 2nd best song on ARTPOP 😭

Ok and? Putting it on the album or keeping it up as a single is the same so they could've just added it to ARTPOP, that's the point. And u should learn not to have some stank attitude Lucius Malfoy.
