[Speculation] Was LMR part of the standard at one point?

(I still think we should have a speculation tag but that’s for another day :huntyga:)

Hello all! I was listening to Love Me Right earlier and it has always irked me how it seems to end so abruptly. I know it fades out at the end but you can still hear it cut off to dead silence. But this abrupt end got me thinking...

do we think LMR was part of the standard tracklist at one point? It sounds like it could have faded in from a previous track at the start, and then fade into the next song at the end, seeing as both the start and end are abrupt to me :oprah:

i don’t know whether this has been discussed before but I know I haven’t spoken about it and I’m curious :flutter:

LMR doesn’t even sound like it’s part of the album. Probably a cut from a previous album idea or something from before 2018

We need the writing credits and everything else for the track :grr: we know so little about it

I agree, and she hasn’t really mentioned it at all. My thing is like it sound lyrically and sonically nothing like the album, it’s very The Cure like so if I had to guess maybe it was from before the started on Stupid Love or even a bit after that.

@Admin I doubt you’ll reply but I know you had tea about the track lengths prior to release and had stated that 1000 Doves was a reworked track, so maybe you know something?

It was probably from the early writing sessions when bloodpop said the music didn’t sound like her. I love the song, but it doesn’t have much soul to it. However, the song fading out doesn’t mean anything. I think I heard all the interludes were done after the songs and with the overall 90s sound of the song it makes sense - fade outs were hella common then.

I think the song might be really special to her and that's why she included it, at least, in the deluxe version.

Could either be from the early LG6 sessions or the ASIB sessions (same as The Cure)

I am more convinced it was the LG5/ASIB reject.

The sounds is similiar to The Cure, which was at one point supposed to be for LG5, before it was scrapped for Joanne. The Cure itself have become stand alone single.

It must be a top track for her I think, if she wrote “50 or 100” songs during the LG6 process and she had this ONE new track on the deluxe edition, then she must really like it :nick:

Nah TC was made right between the Joanne writing sessions and ASIB writing sessions, not LG5. DJWS said they made it trying to find Ally’s sound
