Kattys 4,319
So it's midnight here and I'm on Marry The Night watching spree. Back then when this song was released I was 18, I became a fan before BTW album release. I remember unlocking in on farmville for the first time. I remember that loved the song from the beginning but it was just fun tune with great build up, easy to sing. Oh how times have changed for me. I remember that I struggled of course with many things, but after some time you kind of forget and remember just the important bits. Now I'm 27 and struggling with my life so much. For past few months I'm battling myself to get professional help, even simple tasks seem so difficult to do. Yet I manage somehow, I have amazing boyfriend, we just bought new apartment... And these words, these words of this song just hit so hard when you get older... it's so difficult to express my thoughts in English, it's an out of this world experience when I listen to this song that I know every bit of, I listened for 1000 times and yet feels new. It feels like it's speaking to me right now, in this special period of my life, like it was waiting for me. It feels like it lifts me up. If our Lady managed to get help and get better I can do it too. I won't give up on my life - as I'm thinking that maybe, maybe tommorow I'll do the important call... I'm a warrior queen - yeah I hope so... I'm a soldier to my own emptiness - life feels so empty and difficult for me now, yet so amazing, I still have hope... I'm not gonna cry anymore - last months I cried for simplest reasons, I'm tired... I'm gonna lace up my boots - motivating myself to go out is so hard, sometimes I lace up my boots sometimes I stay and regret... and so on... every piece of the songs makes me tear up. Is anyone else having these late night experiences with Marry The Night? Anyways I had to share, I feel bit better.
MonsterBall13 1,213
Honestly Gaga was so ahead of her time writing these emotionally motivational songs she and Mariah are really the pioneers of those types of songs
MonsterBall13 1,213
I’ll tell my own story about marry the night i was 11 when it came out and I remember before it was released dancing to that song in my moms living room and making my own choreography, the funny thing is some of the steps I made up actually ended up being a part of her real choreography this move in particular! i guess great minds think alike! Noir 15,809
I hope you begin to feel better soon. MTN gives me a similar sort of support, I don’t watch the video a lot because it makes me super emotional but it’s still my favourite video and song of all time. Beautiful and mesmerising. Guest
Since it's release, Marry the Night is the first song I listen to (unless I'm at a party or something where there's music playing and whatnot) every new year. Something about it makes it a great way to start the new year for me mentally cleansed.
