So yesterday my friend asked me which Gaga album should she listen and I recommended BORN THIS WAY because I think its showcase Gaga's range from rock to ballad, pop to electronic, Born This Way have everything not to mention one of her best album.

Do you think I made a good decision?

It really depends on who you're recommending it to I think. If I had to pick one that I think is universally good though I would pick The Fame because it represents what sound made her successful and popular among the GP.

They're all so different, I'd probably pick a different album depending on what the person likes.

However, if I had to pick one album to show to a random person, I'd go with Chromatica! It's fun, it's boppy, it shows off her Lyrical and vocal ability. If you include the deluxe edition, then it has a ballad.. kinda :huntyga:

I think BTW is a good choice, but it's kind of long, especially for someone relatively new to Gaga

I would recommend Chromatica for people who aren’t into Gaga. It is cohesive and has a little bit of everything. It’s an easy listen and has so many highlight moments

Born This Way is my favorite Gaga album, but I think it has a specific audience. It can be a lot for people who aren’t familiar with her work. I would save BTW and ARTPOP for people who love what they’re hearing and want to go a little further with her music.

Strung out for another taste

Honestly, I would choose A Star is Born but someone did not put that as an option :triggered:

Chromatica is my choice but the Fame Monster is a short, full of bops and internationally recognize álbum to choose

I feel like BTW may be a little too overwhelming, especially for someone who's not a Gaga stan. It's a fantastic album, don't get me wrong, but I really feel like BTW may just be a little too conceptual and "weird" for someone who's not already versed in Gaga's discography.

I feel like Chromatica not only appeals to the GP, but is also artistic enough to really set Gaga apart from other artists.

Fame Monster, her most consistent solid body of work tbh

Otherwise Joanne if they're looking for the stripped side of Gaga, though I could also say ASIB for that

Lol, Born This Way is for hardcore fans. I would recommend Chromatica or The Fame for a beginner.

TFM for sure, it truly captures the Gaga aesthetic and tells her story as an artist the best. Born This Way is the best showcase of the genres that influenced Gaga and inspired her aesthetic but the message isn’t really “her” story, they're empowerment anthems and songs she’s written for other people, even songs like Hair, Amen Fashion and Marry The Night in my opinion aren’t as “personal” as Speechless and Bad Romance because they’re written about “Gaga/Stefani” not as “Gaga/Stefani”

please enlighten me to death

Now that you have mentioned it, it's totally make sense I think I just recommended her my favorite album haha. Besides everyone kinda agree Chromatica would probably the best choice because it is fun, cohesive and full of bops
