I’m regardless of everything not trying to make people feel bad for their religion. I think it’s all very complicated. I don't believe in punishing anyone because they love someone or because they are born in wrong body.. I love people. At the end of the day I believe in good and bad and I do think that if you are a decent good human being then you will be rewarded for that no matter if you're religious or not. Many eras in Islam was very reformed like the Mutazila era specially for that time. Or how Islam was way more open back in the 60's for example. We are just sadly in a bad backwards situation at the moment. One of the reason for this is radical religious movements, islamic governments, and terrorism being finded by world leaders. People participating to reform Islam know the limit of their own country and culture. Realistically its always baby steps to change. I genuinely hope it works out in the end. Queen Bitch 10,513
I can see what's disrespectful about it. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but women singing is haram? So the fact that a woman is singing parts of the Hadiths... yeah I can see why that would be considered disrespectful. When that's said, I do feel like people should be free to use religion as part of their art. Yes, there definitely are many people who are offended. I found the song on Youtube; 17000 dislikes and only 1000 likes. But is people being offended, really a good enough reason to not do something? I'm not so sure. MANY people were offended by Like A Prayer, both the song and the video. Should Madonna just have pulled back the video, and made sure no one ever saw it again? Great, that is one of the greatest pop videos / songs ever that would be gone, because people got offended.

I certainly didn't offend you as a non believer, did I? But some of you did offend me with false replies. I gave many of people on here perfectly polite explanation and the answer I got was "So gay is bad! Okay I hate ISLAM!".. C'mon now.. Also evil people could and will weaponize everything. They will weaponize fairytale if they want to. That is not the way to look at things. I agree! Religion shouldn't be part of politics and it should only be the individual thing that is only linked to one individual. I am not trying to force anything upon any of you except for facts. I read Qur'an and I read Bible. I know what I'm talking about so let's discuss. I agree and there is no denying there are good things to come from the teachings of Islam. My issue lies in the fact that it centers around an all knowing god and a hell and heaven. So there is an inherent fear, like all abrahamic religions, that tie into it. This in turn gives people the moral green light to commit atrocious things. This is why even very educated people can say and do terrible things in the name of religion. And because the text is so up to interpretation they use their own socio economic and moral biases to weaponize it. So while it is true that bad people do bad things there is always a motive behind why. In a lot of cases Their religion enables them cause they literally think of it as a word from an all knowing creator. And I’m not saying that’s the case for everyone, but religion warrants that kind of behavior. the thing is, a lot, if not all the positives from islam or whatever religion can be acquired through secular practices and texts that do not contain questionable verses. The amount of LMAO reactions on the OP are beyond. Islamophobia is the issue that is being ignored on here. I’ve seen people call Jesus gay, say it’s fake, laugh and mock/recreate biblical moments, say the religion is bad, Intolerant, and many many other things. I’ve seen artists use Christianity in unflattering ways. I’ve seen tv shows and movies tamper with biblical stories. I’ve seen it all. Where was this outrage? Where was this concern and care? If using a verse from the Quran is islamophobic and hurtful, then we need to have a serious discussion about how people on here talk about Christianity as a whole. The double standards have to stop. Y’all are picking and choosing what can be disrespectful and what is fun and shady. People have their right to be offended by whatever they want. But what you don’t have the right to do is label people who don’t understand or agree with why it’s bad as islamphobics when Christianity is mocked 24/7. If that’s the case, everyone on this site should be slapped with the racist label with how y’all drag black artists especially Beyoncé for things y’all praise other white artists for. People have their opinions, I’m sure you’ve said that exact statement to me and in many Beyoncé hate threads. Apply that logic here. Did you see me do that? Also why the hell are you mentioning a singer? If you are hating on president of UAE then you can, but don't hate on religion. If you are hating on Beyonce for whatever reason that is okay, but don't hate on black people. Hating on person is not hating on everything that person is. THAT BEING SAID - I DON'T HATE BEYONCE OR ANYONE. Saying **** Islam is islamophobic and if you are all about that than you are islamophobic. Same goes for race, sexuality, etc. Openly hating on whatever is hate speech. Take care!

Maybe you would. But not everyone thinks like you. Religion has caused a lot of harm but also a lot of good. I, personally, am atheist. But I don’t think it’s cool to be disrespectful towards someone’s beliefs. I’m not talking about religious nuts that use their religion to persecute others, I’m speaking more broadly. At the end of the day, it’s just rude.

Why would Muslims talk FOR Christians and get offended FOR them if/when Christianity is mocked? Isn’t this what everyone is against? In Islam it’s forbidden to mock other people’s beliefs, so mocking Christianity is never ok. But can you say opposite? Aggressive atheists and others in this thread are angry and annoyed that some Muslims might take offense to this. Everyone is whining about cancel culture and snowflakes and talk FOR people affected how they should feel. FreePalestine
