Currently, I don't see our leadership as either intelligent nor responsible for towards securing the future generations wellness.... Exactly. Natural climate change takes course over tens/hundreds of thousands of years, but not in a few centuries. Just because we aren't experiencing the full onslaught of consequences of climate change doesnt mean our environment isn't rapidly deteriorating or that were not running out of time to stop it. The concern isnt for our generation but the next few generations, especially in the next century or so where the rapid industrialization of the African, South American and Asian continents will speed up things more rapidly than before. Even then we're seeing devastating effects of climate change now. Where city expansion and deforestation drive localized climate change and cause major droughts/drying up of key water sources, forest fires, tornadoes, etc. What we've seen happen this hurricane season isnt a coincidence either.
