There's the article if you're interested. The polls come out of Florida and Pennsylvania where Biden holds a 5 and 7 point lead respectively. They're done by the Siena College and New York Times.

I'll summarize Florida since that's my state and what I find most interesting. Trump cannot win without Florida and it looks like his chances keep slipping away.

Florida:

Margin of error is 5 points, Biden's lead is 4 points across the state

Voters under 30 - Biden 62, Trump 25

Voters over 55 - Biden 47, Trump 45

Latino voters - Biden 58, Trump 34

Democrats - Biden 93, Trump 3 (:awkney:)

Independents - Biden +12

Republicans - Biden 11 (Trump's number isn't mentioned in the article but it's likely in the mid-80s at least).

For comparison, here's Florida in 2016:

Voters under 30 - Clinton +18 (Biden is +37)

Voters over 55 - Trump +17 (Biden is +2)

Latino voters - Clinton +27 (Biden is +24)

The take away here is that Trump won over a bit of the Hispanic/Latino vote in South Florida but due to his failure with covid, seniors in the state lost total faith in him and his 17 point lead among FL seniors has now become a 2 point deficit. Biden's also doubled Hillary Clinton's lead in young FL voters like myself.

Biden has a really good chance to take Florida, basically  And white suburbia in Pennsylvania is throwing its weight behind Biden.

There's no room for complacency but I feel confident that Biden will win this. I just got my ballot in the mail today too.

That's why these states are swing states :yennefer:

But his leads in the demographics are what's important. They'll inform his campaign's final strategy of attack. It looks like hitting seniors, moderates, and taking advantage of Trump's eroding support will be the winning play here.

Is Biden getting a little too progressive?

Idk, Trump has been attacking him as a leftist puppet and slave to the radical left for months (I have the stack of junkmail from Trump to prove it) and Biden still gained enough seniors to lead :laughga:

I don't think they're falling for it tbh. Or if they are, the fear of covid and them having their retirement years stolen by a poorly managed pandemic outweighs their fear of *gasp* affordable healthcare!! :udidnt:

Don't forget, Obama won Florida twice so it only makes sense that his VP would have a strong showing here too.

I was joking because it reads like Biden's strategy is to literally hit senior people but yes, no progressivism is too much for me honestly

Are these statistics only for mail in voting, or for early in-person voting as well?
