So sad you're still in a country where COVID is spreading without any possibility of control :air:

I honestly do not even believe that Lana had clearance from the book store to attempt this event, the health authority was called and shut her down and Lana was seen laughing about it on her way out of the store, surrounded by adoring fans, in masks. Seems like Lana needed some attention and sporadically set up this event last minute and walked into a world of trouble for herself, personally and publicly. This is also why she looks so bad to have done it at all.

The mesh mask is so ridiculous and is ugly anyway.

At this point, I highly doubt what Chuck said of Lana is true, that Lana took a test before arriving there and that she tested negative. Like people just have access to random tests lying around to take when they choose to go out publicly and do things or go to gatherings, seems very entitled, if you ask me. But hey, these girls are HOLLYWOOD.

I don't believe you can set up an event at the last minute, especially with Covid. You don't just show up on the day and say you're holding an event here. That applies everywhere. And you don't know what she was laughing about as she left. And celebrities do have access to tests better than the rest of us and it can be done quickly, you don't need to wait days for results or anything. I'm not actually saying this in defence of her, I'm just being realistic about the situation. But for what it's worth, I reluctantly accept that she did wrong here. But I still don't think it negatively reflects on her entire character as a whole.

Yes. I don't blame you in particular and all other super fans for thinking I am going too far with thinking this, but I just can't help but think Lana entirely went about this wrong, in every way. But, I don't hold her to it, we all make mistakes and I don't think she is a bad person or vindictive in any way. I am not going to keep relaying this event to her personality, reputation nor her legacy. I wasn't %100 on board with things that Gaga was doing on her platform throughout her entire career, but none of it has changed my mind about her personally or made me want to stop following her career. No one is perfect or full proof. Things here in the US are also very confusing and messy during this whole Covid19 time anyway, everything has swung back and forth from highly extreme to not becoming alarmists, so I wouldn't hold Lana to any exception above anyone else navigating their way.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

"Chin-Hong compared Del Rey to Lady Gaga, who "is still able to be fashionable and have an effective mask"; the Chromatica star sported a number of stylish face coverings at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in August, all of which effectively shielded her mouth and nose without sacrificing the eye-catching flair that is characteristically Gaga.

"The holes are so big in the mesh that you might as well be wearing nothing," Chin-Hong continued of Del Rey's blingy mask. "I can draw a mask on my face with a magic marker and it would have the same efficiency as a mesh mask."

Well  :ohwell:
