Firstly, SNL is having an audience. They’ll be masked and tested for Covid, but still there are risks. On top of that, the cast will be performing sketches without masks. By comparison, the 911 video involved comparatively fewer people, plus it sounds like they socially distanced as much as possible, and they were mostly outside. At the VMAs, everyone was masked, and there was no audience. The SNL studio is super small. I’m not saying she’s uncomfortable with it, just that there’s a possibility she could be. It’s also possible that it doesn’t fit her schedule. Who knows. Maybe she’ll do it later this autumn. I believe if she wants to do it, they’ll let her. Anyway, all speculation here.
