He created the conditions for 200,000+ Americans to die of this virus. He created the conditions in which his staff was exposed. He created the conditions that led to him getting personally infected. On the day he likely got infected, he mocked his political opponent for wearing a mask (on top of telling white militant supremacists to "standby"...). This is literally Trump's own fault, so the HIV comparison imo is invalid. This. Now is not the time to play the moral superiority game. Not about this POS. i don't remember ARTPOP
StrawberryBlond 15,566
I've said from the start, once a major world leader gets it, then, and only then, will they take this virus seriously. It happened to Boris Johnson for sure. Here's hoping it gives Trump a wake up call even at this late stage. Regardless of my feelings about him, I don't like to wish death on anyone, no matter how awful they are. By what I hear, this is a truly awful virus that sufferers say they wouldn't wish on their worst enemy. And when you laugh at other's misfortune, you invite it back into your life. Those who are calling it karma don't realise the irony in what they're saying. Remember that even if you think you're taking precautions, people have still caught it, so it's best to just stay quiet and vigilant at this time. I understand where you're coming from, and am sorry for the trauma of living through that has left with you, but you know this isn't that, right? Those people were delusional and truly full of hate. This is people reacting to the irony of an idiots belligerence coming home to roost. This is being able to laugh without crying for the first time in four years. This is gentle ribbing compared to what he/they have done and said. It won't last very long tho. There's still the horror of an election in the horizon. Let people have this small respite. Humor is also a coping mechanism. "She's an intellectual, your honor"

HeavyMetalLover 16
Imagine thinking this is the time to be lecturing others on morality. No one asked. This garbage person is directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths. No one cares how you feel about him. Let others express themselves how they want ffs. i don't remember ARTPOP

This tweet puts it very well Also it's really hard to be sympathetic when this could have been avoided if Trump just made his staff wear masks around him, so ridiculous and reckless. This was inevitable!
MJHolland 12,725
I think it's important that we revisit what Trump has said about mask wearing He literally retweeted someone who called it a version of slavery.... JohnnyVersace 9,277
Not to be morbid and/or insensitive.... But he dug his own grave. And I don't just mean the possibility of him dying from the virus - he literally divided the nation over the mask debate, concealed the severity of the virus, and killed 200,000 people as a result. He shamed Biden for wearing a mask at the debate, his entire family waved them away when offered, and the whole time he was likely an asymptomatic carrier spewing it all over the auditorium. It was only a matter of time his reckless behavior allowed him to contract the virus, and hopefully it will offer him new perspectives on how to handle it. No one should laugh at such a dreadful virus or any human who contracts it and I do hope he survives it, learns from this and comes out more hopeful for fighting it for our nation and the whole world, no matter if we lose or win the election. Same with his wife and family and friends who are deemed positive. Karma is serious people~ The future's uncertain and the end is always near. Shadow 6,697
This is the same man who disrespected John McCain after his death: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/17/us/politics/trump-mccain-twitter.html And last month he dishonored American, military dead: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2020/09/04/trump-calls-military-dead-losers-he-denies-claim-atlantic/5714254002/ "A man who hardens his neck after much reproof, Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy." Proverbs 29:1 I am not wishing harm or death on a sick man, but if that man, a leader of a nation, recklessly endangered himself and others... He should have taken the disease more seriously to prevent the situation he finds himself, his family and his supporters in. Stand in the light, cast your shadow. Boris Johnson has made an absolute shambles (constant U-turns on public health precautions, not listening to scientists, the list goes on) of the situation in the UK which is still one of the most effected countries. Don't be so naive in thinking this will change Trumps idea on the "Chinese virus/Democratic hoax" (his words). He is the one who has caused hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths, mass graves, job losses, lives ruined through poor leadership and constantly shunning the viruses severity. The way he acts as POTUS gives way to people feeling that they have every right to not wear masks and protect vulnerable people, gives way to people thinking its acceptable to be sexist bigots, gives way to people thinking its acceptable to be racist. He will never have a wake up call.
