Yes, if Trump is incapacitated, Pence would automatically take over the ticket/duties of President. If Joe is incapacitated, then there'd be another DNC vote to select a new nominee (at least that's what I gathered when I googled it) and that would almost certainly be kamala. Yeah I mean it doesn't seem fair, but I think it would be impossible to finish the campaign with a totally new nominee. Like, it would be nearly impossible for Bernie to come up to speed in ~4 weeks and lead the campaign, so my bet is on Kamala because it would be easiest (and people have already started voting for her!). If they don't choose Kamala, anybody that voted for Biden/Harris will automatically be converted to the new nominee, though. Here's hoping we don't get to that point.
