Seriously why does this Florin person even come on this forum? They never have anything to say in regards to Gaga and are only ever here to spread misinformation and cherry picked “data” from fake sources about covid lockdowns while ignoring actual the actual evidence presented to them EVERY SINGLE TIME. It’s honestly ridiculous at this point

Lockdown or social distancing restrictions work because whenever restrictions were lifted, infections spiked. I

Well, then this is the solution. Let's lockdown forever. :fail:

And even with that, let's ignore the people who didnt get their cancer screenings or other medical tests, the children who didnt get their vaccinations, the rise in domestic violence and mental health problems.

Yea people. "LOCKDOWNS WORK IF WE TURN A BLIND EYE TO EVERYTHING ELSE".

Not even gonna bother with the rest. I'm telling u that there are zero deaths and 2 hospitalizations from 50k student cases and u still think that it is somehow ok to bully people because they want to get an education. None of those 50k people woulx have been tested if they were on the streets, but how dare they to go to school? Yea. It makes sense.

Its laughable how for people like you, lockdowns worked and didnt work at the same time.

Lockdowns for small cases of the virus is obviously not efficient or needed. But if there are 30k cases in 24 hours what do u advice for this country to do? I'd be curious to know.

Italy had so many deaths because they didnt lockdowned and yet they lockdowned and continued to have the deaths. :selena:

False, after the lockdown the deaths went down (see graph above). 0 deaths is impossible to achieve but less than 800 a day is significant for a country that had significant amount in 24 hours.

I also cant handle this false morality. You care about "people dying" from covid, but ignore the costs of lockdowns aka future deaths from hunger ( or we shouldnt care because most of these wont happen in US and Europe?), undetected illnesses, mental health. I'm not gonna even go into economic effects.

If hospitals are overwhelmed with cases and people coming in danger of deaths, they wont be able to take care of those who need their dialisis and cancer treatments. If you can make hospitals feel less overwhelmed, it improves the treatment of other issues in this world. And I'm not saying that it's perfect. There has been people if not ALL businesses who are struggling right now. To me it would make more sense if you were against businesses, restaurants bars to close at a certain hour, as though corona is gonna leave at a certain hour and yet transport system is still open where ppl are stuck together like sardines. To me THAT doesnt make sense but being against lockdowns when it's what helped many countries to control the number of cases in 24 hours is so illogical to me. Unless u have another idea that wouldve been more efficient in your opinion in handling this. But doing nothing is not better than doing something just saying.

But hey, let's pretend that deaths from covid matter more than other types of deaths and let's ignore all the data that show us who is at risks and who isnt and make the same rules for all people.

So I assume you think lockdowns for people at risks would've been better which proves you don't think the virus is unstable and mutates and can kill children and young people just as much as someone whos 90, which many survived the virus. This virus has a mind of its own, it's a NEW one we barely know why it behaves the way it does, but you are 100% certain that doing nothing wouldve been the best outcome for everyone. Even Italy lol it's comical tbh

SpadesToStart

Do people not remember what a horror show Italy was in March and April? ( a country that didn’t lock down until they were past the point of no return)

Yea. That's the way to go when u cant prove that any of my statements are wrong.

And somehow it happens every single time. Why these off topics comments are permitted?

Dude, you do you for your country.  The truth is every govt should have systems  or be ready to do what they gotta to feed their people and make sure they can survive no matter the cost now because the costs later could be too great . Yeah . People can definitely die from hunger, suffer homelessness, lose their jobs and all the suffering these things cause. But these have always been things the govmt has the power to assuage. I'm sorry for whatever hardship you are seeing or experiencing in your parts but this argument holds up everywhere: you must fix the public health crisis of an incurable highly infectious new disease, before you can fix the economy. Not the other way around.

Again, this is misinformation at best. All illnesses have effects on your body, even the flu, so this isnt unusual in any way.

I also find these "studies" not credible. They dont make any sense, considering that most studies say that 50-90% of people are asymptomatic. How can 90% be asymptomatic and yet only 1 in 5 young adults make recoveries in under 3 weeks? :triggered:

This is not misinformation!!!! This virus isn't even a year old...we know nothing about what it's going to do. You cannot say it's as equally bad as all other illnesses that we know of.

You're saying a lot of stuff but where are the receipts for your "studies"?

Also, not vaccinating is literally idiotic because 1. he's not safe from the virus as it has been proven that it also affects healthy people (even if the risk isn't as high but still) and may have long lasting effects even after recovery and 2. it's selfish and inconsiderate for others who either don't have access to the virus or can't take it for some reason or other. In conclusion, he's a piece of crap.

I'm not normally against vaccinations but you won't see me in line the day they become available.

I kinda agree with him. There are only 1 million reported deaths so far worldwide (since December last year). Yes, measures on social distancing, hygiene and crowd control are absolutely necessary, but (total) lockdowns will affect society a lot on the long term. Think of less economic growth, less welfare, regular medical operations and treatment (even for cancer) that got postponed... Lockdowns damage the whole system and will lead to more problems eventually.

Exactly, try to social distance as much as possible and take safety measures, but you can’t lockdown society for months on end.

And why is that exactly? I'm obviously not talking about the vaccines that will be fast-released in a couple of months, but the proper vaccines that will go through proper testing and be available next year as projected.

So your not against vaccinations. Your just against being  in the first round of inoculations? Thats a distinct difference that needs to be made.

I'm wondering the same thing. Every time I've seen their posts, it's never related to Gaga. Always right-wing BS with misconstrued information that's misleading and potentially harmful.

I can understand that. The vaccine has had such a short test run compared to other usual vaccines. But I, will be first in line as I am high risk along with my entire immediate family.

But seriously, why are the lokcdowns even a thing when masks + social distancing are already like 99% effective?

I'm absolutely not an anti-masker and I don't deny Covid, I'm not stupid, but why completely ruin the economy and people's immune systems (which require vitamin D from sunlight to work properly) when we don't really have to?
