Biden's best moments were when he talked directly to the camera, uninterrupted. If we had more of that, then this debate would've been very different, but the reality is that Trump just threw all the rules out the window and did whatever he wanted to do. Biden handled himself better than I thought he would've. Exactly. Biden had some great speeches when he was actually able to speak to the camera, uninterrupted. I get that takes away a bit of the debate aspect out of it, but they should mute the mics on the next debate.

It would at least be better for the people watching the debate. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢.
Whispering 18,865
Republican pollster Frank Luntz convened a focus group of 16 purportedly undecided voters from swing states, and in general they had kinder things to say about Biden’s performance than Trump’s. Asked to describe Trump in one word or phrase, the responses were: “horrid,” “chaotic,” “unpolished,” “crackhead,” “ehh,” “puzzling,” “un-American,” “unhinged,” “an ass, but a confident ass,” “classic Trump,” “forceful,” “unhinged,” “bully,” “arrogant,” arrogant,” “typical.” Then, asked to describe Biden, the responses were: “I was surprised at how well he did,” “better than expected,” “definitely more professional than Trump and I think he’s more a people person,” “competent,” “politician,” “showed restraint and compassion,” “politician,” “predictable,” “nice guy but lacking vision,” “coherent,” “leader,” “attentive and rehearsed,” “somewhat evasive,” “humanity and integrity,” “predictable,” “presidential.”

Everyone expected Trump to not talk about policy but instead just take personal attacks on Biden, but this was like on a whole other level. I mean, it's honestly kind of amazing to see just how much Trump makes a fool of himself (and there are STILL people willing to vote for him). While this was certainly far from a great performance from Biden, he did, IMO, surpass the low bar for him set by Trump and some of the media. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. I have to disagree. Trump had the rules laid out for him ahead of time, agreed to them, and still refused to follow propriety. If anything, Sanders would've gotten even more flustered. It's not Biden's job to moderate the discussion and essentially babysit his opponent, it's his job to answer the questions put before him and state his case for the presidency. I've seen plenty of Bernie videos. He's brilliant. And even if I hadn't, the premise of my argument still stands. No one could reign the president in, he is unhinged and doesn't know how to debate. That's not something Biden should be docked for.
shoful 13,304
All I have to say is: THIS IS THE BEST WE COULD DO? The clownery that jumped out last night. These 2 grown men fighting like children are supposed to be the leaders of the free world God how I wish Liz Warren or Amy Klobuchar were running "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."
