Personally, I would've loooved to see Bernie take on Trump. That would've been a marvel to behold, however, I don't think Biden did awful. He did better than I thought he'd do actually. 

I agree, hopefully with the sexists who didn't vote HRC combined with the libs who know the stakes now and were lulled into a false sense of security in 2016 as well as what a shitshow Trump's COVID-19 response was it'll be enough to get Biden in.

They will, but they'd rather lose elections and protect the status quo than to actually change up things and possibly shake the foundations of the system that only works for the upper class.

From a political "strategy" perspective, I don't think Trump did terribly. As @rumours said, he controlled the narrative and stuck to his talking points. He gave his supporters what they wanted, and potentially won over a couple of voters who were turned off by Biden's responses on opening up the economy, quelling violent protests, defunding the police, etc. 

I stand by what I said too.

I think people are forgetting that Trump's intention likely wasn't to come across as Presidential or only spread factual information. He wished to create a completely chaotic environment in which he controlled the narrative, overpowered his competitor, and gets in his fear-mongering in hopes of coalescing middle America. He did that all while fostering an environment so hectic that Biden couldn't function very well at all.

I'm not even criticizing Biden at this point. I don't see the point of explaining stuff anymore. Like, I have told people a million times that the ruling/opposition party thing has looked EXACTLY like the ones in my country since the last election and my country is as corrupt as it gets. It is scary how similar it all is that it keeps giving me deja vu. Like, I actually lived through all this before, and it doesn't end well for anyone. But you live and learn, I guess

Nah, I disagree. One of two things is going to happen in the future imo

Either droves of younger and non-white voters will push the Democratic electorate (and their politicians) farther left or a prominent progressive party will rise and render the Dems the centrist choice.

Either way, the States' leftward movement is inevitable if you ask me

Top 3 Trump BS Moments: He didn’t denounce white supremacy, didn’t vow to accept election results, and took low aims at Biden’s son. 
Look, I’m a Bernie Bro but have switched to Biden over the summer just to vote Trump out. Not sure what this means for progressives in the US (really didn’t like Biden denouncing defunding police or critical of the green new deal but Trump is such a problem that there is no other voice this year)

We need ranked voting so badly, too. 

Trump will appeal to his base so it’s scary that he can create chaos and plow on through. I felt Biden was calmer than expected and I could actually hear him out if Trump stopped interrupting.

The US government has moved to the right but the US electorate becomes more and more left with each passing election. I hope that's the case with the rest of the world.

Eventually it will hit a breaking point and the people will take their power back

Just in terms of Republicans and Democrats, Democrats, as our "leftist party" get the popular vote easily in nearly every election. Even in 2018 when the GOP expanded their senate majority, Democratic senators got 20 million more votes

It's only a matter of time before the people's will is stronger than the unbalanced representation of rural and white America and we start to see more and more AOC type politicians get into higher and higher offices.

I don't know. That whole thing genuinely freaked me out. I just can't believe that this is where we're at as a country. These are the two visions for the future that we've been given at a time like this.

And yes, I know Trump is worse than Biden. I've already said that I'm voting for Biden. But I genuinely got nothing from that entire disaster but an unshakable sense of existential dread.
