Exactly. He only looked "weak" in comparison to the deranged clown that is Trump. If this was a normal, (relatively civil) presidential debate, he would've looked just fine. Dems need to start getting younger presidential candidates, Hillary and Joe have baggage with a lot of the public and don't connect with millennial voters. This was the first debate so it's inherently going to get a lot more media and mainstream attention than the next presidential debates, and I think it perfectly shows just how insane Trump is. I stand by what I said. From a moral standpoint, Trump's performance was absolutely disgusting, there is no question. From a political "strategy" perspective, I don't think Trump did terribly. As @rumours said, he controlled the narrative and stuck to his talking points. But Joe is much more liked than Hillary was. Of course Biden has his own baggage, but not to the extent that Hillary had. Personally, I would've loooved to see Bernie take on Trump.
