Biden "looked weak" in the same way a single mom "looks weak" when her toddler is throwing a fit in Walmart :laughga:

Idk, I think he did fine considering the stack of sh*t filled dynamite he was debating.

This **** better not reach the Supreme Court.

Guys we NEED a landslide to avoid that. If you're not registered to vote already, please do that by the end of the week. Many state's deadlines are approaching.

I agree with your last statement, but I think Biden did the right thing by not fighting back. People are already divided and the two candidates are already polarizing. This debate was awful, can you imagine how much more awful it would be if they were both yelling at each other? Let Trump look like a fool and a crazy man. Biden was the bigger person (in most instances) to not talk over Trump the way that Trump did.

Trump's personality costs him a lot of support from middle ground/independent voters so that may have been a good strategy.

"I'm Joe Biden and I'm emotionally stable and mentally sane"

"Welp, you got my vote" - Independents probably

Exactly. He only looked "weak" in comparison to the deranged clown that is Trump. If this was a normal, (relatively civil) presidential debate, he would've looked just fine. However Trump's personality is just so big that it's hard to say anything or get a word in at all.

It's frustrating that the DNC decided to push Biden, I think virtually anyone aside from Bloomberg would've been better in this debate tonight. Dems need to start getting younger presidential candidates, Hillary and Joe have baggage with a lot of the public and don't connect with millennial voters.

Can you even remotely imagine the absolute SLAYAGE AOC would bring to these debates against Trump?

It's such a beautiful vision.

and yes Biden looked weak, confused and not that calm at all. It will be a disaster, and I think nominating Biden was a mistake. Now, it's Trump who will be held accountable for the disaster to come.

Exactly. We already have one crazy old man yelling, we don't need two. This was the first debate so it's inherently going to get a lot more media and mainstream attention than the next presidential debates, and I think it perfectly shows just how insane Trump is.

Anyone watching that debate and still voting for Trump is long gone.

Ma'am... This is literally the transcript of one of those candidate's performance...

I stand by what I said. From a moral standpoint, Trump's performance was absolutely disgusting, there is no question.

From a political "strategy" perspective, I don't think Trump did terribly. As @rumours said, he controlled the narrative and stuck to his talking points. He gave his supporters what they wanted, and potentially won over a couple of voters who were turned off by Biden's responses on opening up the economy, quelling violent protests, defunding the police, etc.

But Joe is much more liked than Hillary was. Of course Biden has his own baggage, but not to the extent that Hillary had.

Personally, I would've loooved to see Bernie take on Trump. That would've been a marvel to behold, however, I don't think Biden did awful. He did better than I thought he'd do actually.

If Dems wanna stay center and move further from where the liberal movement in the US is heading they will continue to lose elections to clowns
