Vitamin D sufficiency was linked with a significantly decreased level of inflammatory markets, and higher blood levels of immune cells, in new research from Boston University's school of medicine. So if you have normal to higher levels of vitamin D, it would make sense that it would make your immune system stronger against viruses/illnesses and diseases. It also makes sense why kids have less of an issue contracting the disease. Young children are supposed to take vitamin d supplements every day.
