no hate but it's funny how yall keep setting her up for a drag when trying to equate her to the most legendary popstars. it's insulting to women that actually were culturally and socially impactful, whereas Ava is not even a polished artist yet, and that's the least I can say about her artistry. She has potential, but her debut is just nowhere near Gaga's or Britney's debut in any way possible.

She has potential tho, but she has a LONG way to go to even be in the same sentence as these queens that were queens since the beginning. Stop setting the poor girl up and be realistic. this is absolutely deluded

this was kinda beautiful

Hmmmm.... part me wants to laugh, but you kinda have a point. :oprah: Even though Ava has clearly taken notes from Gaga (music AND image-wise) there’s no chance in hell she can replace her. Britney, however, hasn’t had a steady hit in a long time. I’m not saying this IS gonna happen, but if she could replace any main pop girl it would probably be Brit.

Ava is still too new, we don’t know if she’ll be a flash-in-the-pan artist just yet. So far, I like her but she does come off kinda industry plant-y. Right now she’s very “The Fame Gaga” (even in the way she talks and presents herself kinda :laughga:) so we have to see where she goes from here.

(Yeah, I know this is a troll thread - but I just wanna start a conversation!)

did u just shade Britney?

Isn't this thread about how she is the next Britney?

But Britney clearly wants to make music but she is trying to defend her freedom by not giving her hard earn money to her abusive handlers. You are clearly not keeping up with the freebritney movement and that is a sin.

What’s with the constant Ava Max threads trying to make her into the next Madonna or Britney? Britney was pretty fresh when she came into the scene and didn’t feel that she was trying to be anyone else. I appreciate Ava Max’s efforts and I do like many of her songs and some videos but she isn’t individual enough to stand out right now. Dua Lipa is the one that could become then next “insert legacy star” so far.

Nah. And that's no shade to Ava. I think Ava is one of the best artists in the last few years imo. But Rina Sawayama is literally a legend in the making.

she is a hardcore legend and trust i just got my receptify and rina is all over my top 10 but lets be honest, she is way too talented and niche to be a mainstream pop queen like Britney, Dua or Gaga

I just checked out the billboard chart history of Ava Max and after some deep thoughts, I think she will be a diva, just the way she presents herself (or just the way her label wants her to look), but she won't be huge in the US. Music industry now has changed dramatically. Can you think of any diva-like female white singer topping the BB chart now as if she is a driving force? No! Dua Lipa looks nothing like a diva. Her appeal is looking beautiful not extravaganza. Taylor Swift is very successful in chart but she's a beautiful model-like figure, not Madonna or Gaga kind of diva. In this era, AM will not make it to the top artist. She will be loved by some people for sure, those who adore White diva-like figures. On another note, Gaga first showed up in public when Madonna had been in dormant for a while, so at that time, Gaga is new and reminiscent of a diva. However, AM came out in a time when Gaga is still very active, not only in music but also in civil right issues. AM may be a diva, but she does not advocate as strongly as Madonna or Gaga on civil right issues. These diva figures work out the best with their strong strong stand on equality issues. These days, a lot of artists are doing that, so it's hard for AM to stand out in the crowd. I wouldn't foresee her to be a huge star unless she put a very great collaboration, meaning that she could be huge only if her music is really good and appeals to the public, not her style or her trying to look like a diva.

Actually no. Even though she’s legendary, unfortunately she has struggled to stay relevant musically. Her last hit Make Me... was only a moderate hit. I love her and she’ll always be culturally important for pop music but her star power has faded a lot. :(

Made me was more relevant that Gagas last songs. Leave out the movie a star is born, the superbowl and ariana grande and Britney's make me was bigger, not to mention that Britney is like 1 million years into her career and Gaga was barely 8 when perfect illussion was competing with make me.
