These are all votes for Trump:

Any third-party vote

Writing in Bernie

Not voting at all

The two-party system is flawed, but we have to wait to fix that in the 2024 election.

As a Bernie supporter, we still MUST vote Biden. We have to, it is all or nothing now.

If you are able to register do it! Then, please vote!

I'm not voting for Biden and I'm not voting for Trump, either.

I won't be emotionally manipulated and gaslit. Thanks for trying though!

If Trump tried to bypass the election result, is it possible that the military would step in ? I live in Europe, so I'm a long way from having my finger on the pulse, and maybe it's a far-fetched idea, but I think I'm right in saying that when he tried to involve the military in putting down the BLM protests the generals pretty much told him where to go.

He's the commander in chief, how can they act without 100% certainty that Trump isn't right?

No he doesn't.

go vote for the worse candidate then, aka Trump, if you feel that strongly against Biden. Vote for a third-party, but the you risk having the worst candidate for another 4 years.

I said pressuring, not shaming. There’s a difference. And honestly, people should be shamed if they don’t vote. ESPECIALLY in presidential elections. It’s their job as a citizen. You don’t seem to be understanding why people are pushing for Biden over Trump.

Perhaps you misunderstand why people don't vote in this country.

It's because the candidates suck and never make any structural changes to our structurally inequitable system.

Stop punching down on the powerless and start demanding more from the powerful.

This is getting embarrassing.

But I feel just as strongly about how terrible Donald Trump is.

Why should I vote for either candidate if they're both terrible?

It would be difficult. The president is the Commander in Chief of the military.

Yes, it would be difficult, but two things.

1. They've already said no to him once.

2. Would his claim to the presidency be legitimate ?

Jesus christ you’re on a moral high horse. Im not punching down on the powerless? The candidates do suck. I won’t deny that. But one is a lot closer to the goals as the other and actually has a chance at winning. A 3rd-party candidate does not have a chance at winning.

Because one is better than the other. This election is not about morals or short-term goals. Voting for Biden will hopefully get one or more liberal/left justices. It will also mean that Trump can’t further divide a nation.

Trump will already have installed another one of justices before the election.

And Biden is a conservative. He would not have installed a leftist justice.

Also, you realize liberalism is a right-wing ideology, right?

"Dividing the nation" is such a nebulous term that it means close to nothing. Biden will continue to expand our racist, murderous police state, will not provide universal health care, and will not pass a GND.

You promoted vote-shaming literally one second ago. That is most definitely, by definition, punching down on the powerless and disenfranchised. I'm sorry if this fact bothers you.

I never said a 3rd party candidate has a chance of winning.

One is old and crusty and probably won't cape too hard for a progressive agenda but is also unlikely to cause much harm. The other wants to impose a facist state.

Saying something is "nebulous" then ending right there without expanding on it is quite deflective.

A vote for anyone that isn't Biden is a vote taken away from democrats and handed to trump. That is the truth. Im sorry you cannot see that fact.
