2School4Cool 6,434
It got way too much hate! While it’s probably not my absolute favorite on Lover (which is a stellar album that I absolutely adore), it’s honestly such a good song! On an album with many different songs, some deep and emotional, others sentimental storytelling masterpieces, some social commentaries, others introspective or reflective, ME! is just a lighthearted, fun, happy moment on the album. I stan Taylor and I was so underwhelmed with me, not because it's childish in the way that shake it off is, but because it really isn't a great song. Technically everything is a top-notch. Maybe the final outcome wasn't really clicking with the GP. I blame the "Me-e-e, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh", cause other than that it's a great song. Different, more generic (lead single to appeal to masses). When compared for example to YNTCD - it shines. 8 minutes ago, RudraCNG said: No! It was a bop. I much prefer this than artists trying hard to be mature and sofisticated This
Nemanja 595
the song sounds too childish, and this part is so annoying "Me-e-e, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh I'm the only one of me Baby, that's the fun of me Eeh-eeh-eeh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh"
HoneyB 27,690
The song itself is terrible and yes deserved the hate, but the video was an explosion of colors and visuals I liked it. 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪

Cookie Tookie 10,546
Absolutely. If you would have told me it was an original kidz bop song, I would have believed it. It’s hard to take her artistry seriously when she puts out stuff like that.

And in addition it got her worst music video in a long time. 8 minutes ago, Little99 said: I love that song. But what does it mean "hey kids, spelling is fun!"? It indicates the wordplay behind the song: in "you can't spell awesome without me" and in "there ain't no I in team, but you know there is a me" 9 minutes ago, Biggest Bitch said: Cause this is cringiest song ever I would say it's rather campy than cringey. lavenderblondee 3,695
To each their own, but I thought the album/song went backwards instead of pushing her forward like 1989 and Reputation did.

It's just a fun, playful and lighthearted song. Relax. And it's just one song out of her entire catalog. Taylor always says that every era she want to create something different than previous work, go out of the previously shaped form. And it was a perfect contrast to Reputation's vibes. Killa 17,456
I dont think everything needs to be serious, instead im getting very tired of fake serioussness. But.. It doesnt need to be like this song. On top of it its musically dull. And theres even a feature. Its just the whole thing that makes it even harder to swallow. Its just a dull cute unimpressive easy listen song. My opinion, of course
