The Grammys adore Gaga tho.

Also Chromatica is much more coherent, sonically and visually. It has deeper and more personal lyricism, with cohesive production and songwriting that is reminiscent of dance genre of the 90s, is divided into three cinematic Acts with clear distinction between the sonic directions of each Act, has iconic, huge collaborations with AG, BP and EJ, has already earned her 5 VMAs including a Tricon Award and has spawned three music videos acclaimed by critics, especially ROM and 911.

I really doubt FN exhibited qualities and achievements as impressive as these.

There are so many great albums this year :bradley:

At the very least I hope Dua is nominated. FN is triumphant.

Of course I want Gaga to win everything. :bear:

Flawless

I believe she'll be totally snubbed, the competition this year is strong. I see Gaga only winning in Best Duo

the scars on my mind are on replay.

I will never understand why this forums hates so much that girl, she is doing it amazingly right now, her second era was pretty much big in streaming and sales, she had one of the best bops of the year, and also one of the most succesfull songs. Her album FN i think is better than Chromatica and i hope she win in at least one category, the girl has worked so much, has put and album and a remix album with a lot of quality, has gained so much recognition and hate that she really deserves to win.

Are those competing in Pop? I think AH might compete in R&B album, but Folklore?

after hours is not r&b

It’s not but that’s where these awards put black artists regardless of the genre. Just look at Blinding Lights nominated for best R&B song at the VMAs. The Grammys are no different and Abel’s team knows that. They will most likely submit him on that category.

I'd strongly disagree with this..

Gaga isn’t winning anything but maybe pop duo lbr. Maybe Dance/Electronic but Dua could take that too.

Combing the gendered categories was a bad idea IMO. Lowers the margin that some female artists could win awards.

That’s usually what happens with popstars because some people just see their music as something to have fun with a couple of days, then gets disposed and to wait for another one to keep them entertained. We’ve seen this with Dua, Taylor, Katy, Ariana, Kesha, Britney, Madonna, etc. The typical stages of going from “ughh this girl is saving pop this year” to “yass giving the gays everything we want!” Then to “ugh so overrated don’t get the hype anymore”.

I also have read rumors on Twitter that Un Dia (One Day) could get submitted in categories as well

Stanlist: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Fifth Harmony girls, unperfect, Grace VanderWaal, Rina Sawayama
