Dark Energy May Not Exist After All

Nothing conclusive, but a new paper has put it into question because the evidence for accelerating expansion and the red shift effect came from too many samples in the same general direction and failed to take into account the general motion of our Galaxy

With more refined data and calculations into which direction we are moving in our super cluster, what they are finding is that the red shift is mainly seen in the direction we are moving away from but not so much in the direction we are heading towards

So while we see evidence still that the Universe is still expanding yes, whether or not the rate of expansion is accelerating has now been put into question by a source that is taken seriously by scientific community

If it is found that the rate of expansion is either stable or even decelerating, then the existence of dark energy is a theory that would go out the window

Interesting... very interesting..

Our Galaxy is also supposed to be moving towards the great attractor, the most misterious monster out there.

We barely know anything

Yeah... These theories are gonna keep changing and getting tweeks because there is so much we still don't know and have barely began to scratch the surface which means a lot of stuff we have to make assumptions on to try to explain stuff ultimately gets proven wrong the more we look into it

Just look at string theory for example. It is impossible to see them. We're talking near Planck length sizes here which are so tiny that if an atom was the size of the earth a planck length would be a tiny nail head. Just digest that for a minute. Our microscopes cannot see anything even thousands of times larger than that... Light waves cannot bounce off of that so we will never visually see it no matter how powerful we made a microscope. We have to try to study and explain stuff we can't see and make the best of it

It's actually so fascinating

No ****ing words...

Its like one of those blatantly obvious things you forget. Like it’d be even scarier if we actually didnt move at all ourselves.
